EMDR Therapy Demonstration: Phases 1-8 with Medical Focus
Ойын-сауық
Watch master EMDR clinician and trainer Dr. Jamie Marich work with Phases 1-8 of the standard EMDR therapy protocol connected to an issue with medical system trauma and fear of medical care.
IMPORTANT: This video is not meant to be a replacement for professional treatment. This is not a "do it yourself" EMDR process. This is a demonstration that can supplement your learning if you are an EMDR therapist in training or furthering your study. If you are a client or potential client, this may give you a general idea of what to expect.

I love the way her voice got stronger as the processing progressed.
I wish my therapist did this with me after my sessions. As I used to get so overloaded with emotions after digging through painful memories and drain out completely. And may be that is why I came searching for this. Glad to find these methods to work through traumas.
I hoped to see how her test results were. I hope they were good. I am starting EMDR next week.
Thank you for sharing this; it was very interesting to see the subtle differences between your demonstration and the way I was instructed. It has aided my reflection.

Good music!
I need to try this out. What can go wrong? It not work? Well, nothing else has worked.
Do you ever tell the client to not go with something?
When did she do the eye desensitization bit?

She used taps instead of eye movements, depending on what the client prefers
I would like to ask why are you tapping the client ?? EMDR is the client tapping themselves or whatever the stimulus is ??

There are different ways of doing the BLS (bilateral stimulation), ie eye movements, tapping on knees, tapping on chest, stomping, tones via earphones, etc.

@@kaleimaile Does stomping work just as well? Do I stand or sit while doing it?
