It seems like this style of singing if done wrong destroys vocal chords. Kurt did it and degraded really fast. Tillian is trying to add more of it to DGD, cause he used to do it on Tides of Man. You can tell by DGD 2017 live that Tillian cannot do it for more than like 3 shows before he loses all wind.

@@soysaucehairdye7869not necessarily true lol all vocalists have studio tricks for them even if it’s just a simple pitch correction (a couple notes were flat in this video that wouldve needed pitch correction in the studio which is totally normal) and they added layers on his vocals to make them more full in the studio.
@soysaucehairdye7869
Жыл бұрын
@@jonahxsmitty Of course, but in a live performance I don't want to hear a vocalist that sings pitch perfect just like I don't want to hear John Frusciante play with a perfectly tuned guitar. I expect a singer to sing sharp and flat in a live performance every few notes or so. Even in a studio performance such as The Cranberries 'So cold in Ireland' Dolores isn't singing pitch perfect and that is what makes that song so emotional.

Seeing Jonny like this, on stage displaying pure unbridled passion and god-given talent that few measure up to makes me both happy and sad. Happy that it happened but sad knowing what else might have been could he keep his addiction under control.

@@jonahxsmitty Of course, but in a live performance I don't want to hear a vocalist that sings pitch perfect just like I don't want to hear John Frusciante play with a perfectly tuned guitar. Even in a studio performance such as The Cranberries 'So cold in Ireland' Dolores isn't singing pitch perfect and that is what makes that song so emotional.
