best johnny was this ear imo. he still was really comfortable singing high without rasp. it sounds more like an ornament here than a crutch like older johnny he seems to almost break into a fry scream even on an a4.

He's a light mid-tenor like The Weeknd and thus studio tricks aren't necessary to make him sound great during his prime years.

@@soysaucehairdye7869not necessarily true lol all vocalists have studio tricks for them even if it’s just a simple pitch correction (a couple notes were flat in this video that wouldve needed pitch correction in the studio which is totally normal) and they added layers on his vocals to make them more full in the studio.

I expect a singer to sing sharp and flat in a live performance every few notes or so. Even in a studio performance such as The Cranberries 'So cold in Ireland' Dolores isn't singing pitch perfect and that is what makes that song so emotional.
