when I see the words Conan and Elvis I immediately think about Conan breaking out his "Poke Salad" dance when he's doing a remote at a soul food joint in Inglewood.

Elvis was 'excitable' and when he wanted something done, he had no patience for waiting so this funny story about him being all excited about a song he wanted Tom to record isn't at all surprising. Also, his Army days would have played into it where men became accustomed to seeing each other 'buck naked' in the showers and such. Elvis's father, Vernon Presley always said that Elvis never really changed from before stardom to after stardom, he was a down to earth, regular guy who didn't consider himself better or more important than anyone else. Funny story by Tom Jones (who emulated Elvis both in vocal style and dress) and a great reaction. Thanks.

Elvis was normal but he was a big kid and he didn't take himself too serious.

From memory. Tom goes on to say that later when he went to the loo, Elvis had left a gun behind in there.

Conan is a huge Elvis fan.. there’s a great interview he did with Peter Guralnick who wrote the best Elvis book Last Train to Memphis. Rory.. think you will like as very informative.

I love stories like this one! Bill Medley ( Righteous Brothers) told a short, funny story about Elvis too. (Elvis Presley as remembered by Bill Medley) Thank you for this great reaction!☀️

I love your Elvis reactions. Tom Jones is not a favorite of mine, and I have heard him say things about Elvis lately that are disrespectful. I think he is still jealous of Elvis and used that friendship like so many of the Elvis hangers-on did for what they could selfishly get from it. Elvis was unworldly and fantastic. He was so down-to-earth and humble for being such an icon. ❤❤❤

im curious when and what tom has ever said a bad word about elvis?? ive only ever heard him say the most lovely things about him and tom in no way ever "needed' elvis for anything other than friendship they were mentors to each other and tom was someone elvis trusted and respected because he was never a "yes man" like so many others in elvis' life

@@belinda35_77 All I know is that a good friend of mine was at a concert of Tom's a few years ago and said she was so upset about the way he talked about Elvis that she and her friends got up and walked out. I don't think he should have talked about Elvis using his toilet and standing there with his pants down either.

@Zennofobic I got your reference before YT deleted it, I admit it was good! The imitation of Geddy Lee and the rest of their arguments on ancient Greek and the rest was excellent! :) Can you tell me your relationship with the symbolism of numbers?

haha over the last couple of years I've been seeing triplet numbers on clocks constantly all day long and now everytime I see repeating numbers I just repeat them. It's become almost OCD-like, if I see likes at 33 I won't hit like and break the numbers. If I see there are 221 comments I'll make one. BTW I just saw your comment exactly 33 minutes after you made it
