The King, still making women swoon 50 years later. I remember the day he died, I was a teenager playing pool in this large loud poolhall with a friend in St. Joseph, Missouri. An old transistor radio was playing music when it was announced that Elvis had died. The whole place went dead silent, people just stood there looking at each other in disbelief. I think even the poolballs just stopped dead. It was like time itself had just stopped.

I was 12 the day he died. And, ironically enough, my family was driving back to Chicago from a camping trip. We were in Memphis when the traffic stopped. It was insane. My mom turned on the radio and we heard the news. I thought “oh, the cute guitar man from the movies died”. I was confused by all the commotion over this guy. I only knew him from the movies. But then... he was all over the news, and I saw one of his Ed Sullivan performances. That was it for me! I was hit by a ton of bricks. I was like, “Ohhhhh, I get it now”. Been obsessed ever since.

I feel the same way you do when I see him in this black outfit. He has the black hair, and long black eyelashes, and beautiful blue eyes. He also rocked a killer tan not to mention his beautiful full lips. At around 6:09 you looked so cute because it looked like you were blushing watching him. Elvis's father, Vernon was my grandmother's first cousin. I can't remember how far apart our cousinship was,(like first cousins twice removed etc.) but I sure didn't get that talent! I also loved him because of his love for his mother and he was very generous with his friends. He enjoyed giving his family and friends money or new cars, etc.

With all your Elvis reactions, could you imagine him singing TO YOU. Or any man with that kind of passion; slow dancing you, singing in your ear? I say that because I feel the same emotion in reverse for The Pretenders, "I'll Stand By You." I would give so much to have a woman passionately sing that to me. 53...never happened.

When I talk about ELVIS I say ‘This is Rock and Roll, Rock and Roll really!’. I could say six or seven names, but he is above all of them. "(Tom Petty) “The highlight of my career? This is easy ... When ELVIS recorded one of my songs ... ”(Bob Dylan). "ELVIS was the first and the biggest." (Roy Orbison - the idol of ELVIS). "ELVIS was the starting point, where it all started for us" (Robert Plant - Led Zeppelin). "Meeting ELVIS Presley was one of the greatest moments of my life" (Paul McCartney - Beatles) "My favorite singer has always been ELVIS Presley. He was the most creative and left everything ready for whoever came after.” (Jim Morrison - The Doors). "ELVIS Presley is the Big Bang of Rock'n'Roll, the beginning of everything" (Bono Vox - U2). “Describe ELVIS? He is the greatest that has ever existed, or will exist ... ”(Chuck Berry). "ELVIS was absolutely brilliant! Hearing his voice made me want to do something like that.” (David Gilmour - Pink Floyd). "ELVIS ... He was unique ... Too bad he didn't sing the blues anymore ..." (B.B.King). "There was only one person the Beatles wanted to meet in the USA: ELVIS!" (John Lennon - Beatles). "There were several brave guys, several deceivers, several competitors, but only one King" (Bruce Springsteen). “Nobody will match him. He is the original in an area of impersonators. ” (Mick Jagger - Rolling Stones). “When I heard ELVIS sing my‘ Bridge Over Trouble Water ’for the first time I found it unbelievable and thought, how can I compete with that?” (Paul Simon). “Before ELVIS, everything was black and white. After him, a glorious color ... ”(Keith Richards - Rolling Stones). "ELVIS will always be the King. The reason is simple: he was the best singer ever." (Ian Gillan - Deep Purple). "I thank God for ELVIS Presley. I thank God for sending ELVIS to open the door so I could cross and walk on my road ..." (Little Richard). "ELVIS is the greatest Blues singer in the world ..." (Joe Cocker). "ELVIS is my man" (Janis Joplin) "ELVIS was the king ... People like me and Mick Jagger just followed in his footsteps ..." (Rod Stewart).

You need to try ‘Trying to get to you’ from the same concert and also ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ there’s a version on KZread where he’s sitting down and he forgets the words, even tho it’s like a blooper I much prefer it to the proper version and think you would too!

I was privelaged to see him live. I was 10 years old. My very first concert. Loved your reaction. Sincere.

I love this reaction, my dear! But you should definitely react to the whole audio, because the middle part of the song (which he left out here) is the most emotional🥺
