Yes he did. Had excellent taste. He would have a huge stack of songs and by the tone he got to the bottom of it they’d have about 5 or so songs. He was very picky. He even would practice a song to perform ten times then decide he didn’t like it and would say NO I DONT LIKE IT. lol never to be seen again.

This is absolutely the case. There are only a few small mistakes I've noticed. I don't think he should have done "Blueberry Hill", simply because he did nothing to improve on Fats Domino's version. Elvis USUALLY improved covers substantially. "Hey Jude" was a really bad choice for him. A very awkward song for him to do, and it was not a great recording. "When I'm Over You" was just weak and weird lyrically, and I'm surprised he ended up doing it.

@Bryant Benson do you think hi's joke's and irony while singing is to hide hi's feelings, he look so resigned in most of the concerts or rehearsals but he never quit the sense of humor. It's amazing that.

There is a reason why this man is still the reigning king !

Elvis is such a charismatic man, you don’t have to be anything to fall in love with him

He can sing anything! I love how he's sat down yet still can't sit still. His legs constantly going, he literally felt the music through him. I love watching him 💕

yes the beattles were good too.I like them..Elvis was something else.. a voice, a style, huge charisma..a nice sense of humor..and a capability of self derision..He was an artist and had always avoided to criticise anybody in ublic or to give his opinion on anything...he was only a talented artist..and I like that !!

I have loved Elvis and his music since before I can remember and I know how it feels to feel down and out and a bit low and Elvis and his music has always made me feel better. I have some of this rehearsal on vhs tape titled "Elvis: The Lost Performances", and it's toward the very end. Really awesome to see the King in his natural state while rehearsing. Just awesome footage and am thankful someone was there to capture moments like these with the King on film. I wish I could get ahold of some of the bootleg footage out there, I'm sure there's alot. Especially considering how much was hidden from public eye to keep his image "clean" back when people didn't understand that Elvis was just a human. Thanks for the upload, I love stuff like this

In my opinion I love to watch rehearsals. He’s himself and start singing then say I can’t remember the words. Lol He had a fear of forgetting words.

I love watching these clips. I watch my Thats The Way It dvds nonstop. Next have to get the rest of clips myself. I really enjoy watching him work hard but natural with his band. By eye movements or hand movements like he just did. One thing I enjoyed was watching James the whole time. Hes like me when I talk about elvis to people or watch him. Just fascinated & cant stop smiling. This movie really showed the eye contact those 2 had with each other.
