I’m 60 years old and I’m from Switzerland (Lucerne), I’ve been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old, I watched Elvis' live concert in Hawaii in 1973. I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so. Denis Herger

@@tfa8 I saw him in concert when I was 10 yrs old, it was his last tour. We were in the car when his death was announced on the radio. My Mom had to pull off the road because she was crying so hard.

100% agree! There are many things that separate Elvis from other artists, the biggest being he feels the words when he sings them. That comes through in every one of his songs!

Man, it must have been fun to be in the room when Elvis was rehearsing. He seemed to keep it from getting too heavy with his antics. So authentic.

Died fifteen years before I was born, yet still my favourite artist of all time. Has been since as long as I can remember, truly the greatest ever.

Elvis died when I was four years old and I actually remember bits and pieces from that day. I remember my mother crying and I didn’t understand why. I discovered Elvis on a mixed cassette tape my parents had made and the song that started it all was “The Wonder of You”. He’s been my favorite ever since.

This is awesome, i never knew Elvis covered this song. It must be the greatest compliment to have a song get covered by the King. Both the Bee Gees and Elvis are fantastic.

@@reneguenon7824 No, he ALWAYS did it. Since beginning. Elvis was not a composer. All his first records from 1954-55 were covers from other artists.

This is just a rehearsal, he changes the lyrics. His first live performance of Words was in 1969.

@@PauloPereira-jj4jv Elvis wrote actually in his early days a couple of songs in cooperation with different composers and musicians, primarily because he couldn´t read notes, for instance "Dont be cruel" with Otis Blackwell, "Poor Boy" with Ken Darby and "That's Someone You Never Forget" with Red West.

He just cracks me up!! He can be completely silly, in the middle of a song, and then just keep singing without missing a beat!

Hi from England ELVIS died 2 days before my 12th birthday. I have been a FAN ever since. ELVIS HAD EVERYTHING. And you know what i mean. ELVIS was a BUNDLE OF ENERGY SET TO MUSIC and those last 15 seconds make me laugh. ELVIS was so funny and those karate kicks OH MY😊😊😭😭😥💖❤👌🙏🎵🎵

@Bryant Benson I remember listening to ELVIS on BBC Radio 1 back around 1973/4 when I was around 8 years old. The 🌎 was in shock for those few days and many weeks after ELVIS died. I remember also that the 18th August watching TV and his funeral. This was my 12th birthday and what sticks out for me is seeing all those 17 white Cadillac cars In 1977 we only had 2 TV channels, the BBC and ITV when they were both at the top of their game. Sadly NOT NOW I do remember also watching a number of documentaries back in the 80’s and 90’s and lots of the films Over the last 12/18 months lots of his films have been shown and at the end of last year the documentaries have been shown and more were shown only around 3 weeks ago 🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@Bryant Benson As you ask this question my reply is every song ELVIS recorded are my favourites- OH YES and he recorded over 700 songs However I have a playlist of around 25 and out of these I would go with Polk Salad Annie Steamroller Blues I need somebody to lean on And gospel it would be Farther Along What more can I say It would have been awesome if ELVIS had toured UK😭😭😭but was it not meant to be🤔 Tom Jones would have shown ELVIS as good time - and you know what I mean ‘girls, girls, girls They were great buddies 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The Gibbs and Elvis Presley: doesn't get better than this. I bet the Bee Gees were so happy when Elvis recorded this song by them. Elvis inspired so many artists after him who are still popular today and the Bee Gees are one of them. Man, Elvis Presley was ahead of his time.

I don't remember him dying specifically, but my earliest Elvis memory is my brothers' taking me to their friend's house to watch the 77 CBS Special on some big ass machine called a betamax!!🤣🤣 I'm sure you remember that if you're anywhere near my age or older.
