This is absolutely the most amazing story that I pray dosent get lost over time! No one would ever do this today and actually have it happen. Elvis Presley was the first and the last to ever exist that could pull this off! The man had something about him that isn't explainable, he was different, not normal in anyway, yes I mean he was in possession of a magical charisma that I believe was special beyond explanation! The King forever!

Only Elvis could pull off something like this, that was an incredible story. How you wish you could have been a fly on the wall during that historic meeting. Elvis was and is the man, the most phenomenal, decent humanitarian ever‼️👌👌💙💙

Hello from England Watching lots of videos about ELVIS and his ‘backstory’ they make me think so much more about the years that have gone - 50 + Such different times back then ELVIS was so cool If he wanted to meet Nixon then he would - nothing would stop him He was kind, considerate, humble and the letter he wrote before the meeting was AMAZING - All the guys loved Elvis and did their best - I only🙏 that they had NO REGRETS before they died Why should they Jerry is the ‘last man’ standing and I am watching this crying😢😢 but I know there were so many more GOOD times than BAD and for most part THEY must have had so many wonderful exciting LIFE experiences ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😢😢😢😊😊😊💓💓💓❤️❤️

Jerry Schilling seems so genuine, softspoken and a very likeable person. The Elvis-Nixon federal agent-at-large story is out of this world. I am glad he was both physically and emotionally supporting a frail Lisa-Marie at the Golden Globe Galla earlier this week just two days before she tragically and unexpectedly passed away. He was one of Elvis' closest inner circle friends since the mid/late 1960s and stayed loyal to him ever since. He even managed Lisa Marie Presley in the 1990s. He is incredibly loyal to the Presley family.

there was a little unknown fact about what was said the moment E was walking into the Oval Office as told by Jerry Shelling..E was wearing a purple jumpsuit and a white cape and as he walked into the oval office President Nixon said ''Mr Presley that sure is some wild get up your wearing.'' And Elvis quickly responded and said''Well, Mr President you have your show to run and I have mine'' That's one of the coolest things I ever heard and just proves only Elvis could do all of the things that took place that day

My younger sister was on that flight, she was a stewardess and called from the plane to tell me he was there. She was, and still is an Elvis hater, but she wasn't too fond of me either, then or now, and she let me hear him talking to the passengers. She said he had ordered drinks for everyone, except himself, and had been joking around with everyone and signing autographs. She was so weird that she refused to, "look like the other idiots" and have him sign his name for me. She also worked part time at the Long Beach Holiday Inn by the airport in Long Beach, Ca. I was at the concert in Long Beach in Nov. 74, and she didn't know that because we rarely spoke to each other. She called me later that night to say he was at the hotel, and again signing his name, and associating with the other guests. But she refused to have him sign his name for me. I had one up on her that night, because after that concert that I had attended, my husband was driving on Ocean Blvd, and we were at the first red light from the L.B. arena. Who pulls up next to us? Elvis and his boys in his limo, with the windows down.. Our VW bug was so close I could touch it, if my 9 mo pregnant belly didn't stop me from getting out the window far enough. I was screaming with joy, and pain from getting stuck in the door, and the light turned green, the limo went straight and hubby did a quick u-turn and took us back over the bridge to go home. I was so upset with him, but he didn't care for Elvis that much either, but he did try to make it sound as if he was thinking about Elvis, by asking me if I would rather be remembered by Elvis as just another person he gave an autograph to, or someone who was so big they got stuck in a VW window trying to touch his limo? I had to say, I would rather have the autograph. Am I wrong? I didn't think so. Maybe the best memory I have, but I did see him in 1954 at the Al/MS state fair when I was about 3 yrs old with my Mom. Thanks Mama, too bad you couldn't afford a camera back then, that would have made that day even better, but I will never forget it.

I don't know about that, one of Elvis's cook/housekeeper/childcare giver to Lisa Marie, Alvina Roy told many stories about Jerry and the boys, and how they used Elvis. And in the end, how they almost destroyed him, and she thought they were the cause of his depression, and ultimately his downward spiral. She was a very cool and awesome woman, and she gave us many stories about the real Elvis, and she never had even one negative comment about Elvis, but she had plenty to say about those who "cared for and loved" him.

Sad that Hollywood would make up a false story about this.

This story always makes Elvis sound very delusional at that point. Asking for a badge that didn’t exist, demanding to meet the President. All really weird behavior.

Elvis wasn't so fortunate with President Carter. Insulted.
