Jerry Lee was a very good singer & piano player, without any doubts Jerry Lee was a talented person however Elvis was a great singer who could sing in different styles of music such as country, gospel, rhythm & blues and rock. When I listen to Elvis voice I can feel different styles of music all combined coming to me then his actual voice is so graceful, passionate and strong I never get tired to hear Elvis's voice.🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎵🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸

Wow. I've never heard this story before. I had no idea that it ever happened. Why are the most best times of Elvis, never caught on tape, photographs, and or film? This time including now, like when Elvis met the Beatles. No one thought to film it on a 8mm camera, tape record it, or snap some quick pictures for memories? Historical moments happened in Elvis life, that we get to hear about, but not see. Also; like the times that he sang with Tom Jones, not even anything of those moments either.

There's great, and there's greatest. Great is a difficult accomplishment, and there are not too many. So how much more difficult, more like miraculous, to achieve greatest? Jerry Lee was great, he really was. Elvis, as I think no one can deny was The Greatest. You just cannot compare him to anyone.

According to Jerry Lee, in the final year or two of Elvis's life Elvis called Jerry Lee numerous times and basically poured his heart out to him on the phone about the issues he was going through. I think one of the reasons Elvis didn't get too close to Jerry was Jerry was a hardcore drinker and could get a bit obnoxious. My uncle played in a popular bar in Dayton Ohio and Jerry Lee was in town to do a show. He came in the bar after his show downtown and got on stage with my uncle and played a set with him. My uncle played the piano in Jerry's style and also was lead singer. One night I was babysitting at my uncle's and saw some 8x10 pictures of my uncle and Jerry Lee. Both drunk as a skunk and the table full of beer bottles. I wish I'd taken one for a keepsake, because my uncle died of a massive heart attack 1 year later at age 32. He was my mom's baby brother and only 8 years older than me and we hung out together a lot. This was in the mid sixties.

You should do the story of Elvis’s Purple Cadillac. How he got it, what made him paint it purple it’s really quite the Elvis story. I was surprised they actually showed his 56’ Eldorado Biarritz in the movie. So the story goes when Elvis bought his first Eldorado, it was originally all white. He wanted a more exotic color. So he took it to a body shop, and happened to be eating grapes 🍇 when the body guy asked Elvis, “What color do you want?” Elvis then took some of the grapes he was snacking on and squeezed them onto the hood. “I want that color!” One of the reasons his purple Cadillac would have stuck out some much is that nobody ever really repainted Cadillacs. Especially in the 50s the style was all pastel colors. Then you have Elvis in his Purple Cadillac that looked like it was a car from the future because the color was so unusual. Just thought it was a neat story, I’m always delighted when a new story comes up from your channel.

True to life, "Elvis was "Elvis " and " Jerry Lee was Jerry Lee" . They both were good entertainers, but Elvis was and is still " Elvis" and nobody can change that ...ever.. He had it all from our view, looks, kindness, wealth, he is the only one that could sing any kind of song and make it his own...If only his life had been as happy and joyful as his music made the world ! We will always , love you! ❤❤❤ I know he had good times, but I only wished he knew, how he touched the world. Also, I will add that Jerry Lee Lewis can rock pretty dang good and he could bounce that piano like a yo yo! I like his music also . Jerry shouldn't have been jealous of Elvis, because I'm sure Elvis seen something in Jerry that was 100 + !!! They both are great, but Elvis as I've said is "Elvis".. One of a kind, and when you get right down to it, we all are what we are. The special should be looked at as such, not brought down but lifted up. There will always be one in any field or career that stands above the rest, and Elvis stood above and beyond any performer today , and, the late great king of pop, no other than Michael Jackson! Long live the kings of Rock n pop!!!!!❤

Jerry Lee proved his jealously of Elvis time and time again. The last time, in the 70's, he showed up at Graceland, he was drunk and had a pistol on the dashboard. He claimed it was a gift for Elvis. He showed up in the middle of the night and was told Elvis wasn't home 😅

Elvis was human. It's ok if he got upset and showed his feelings. If Elvis found Jerry irritating then maybe he didn't want to hear the guys praise of him.

For damn sure, Elvis achieved more success than Jerry Lee Lewis. One billion records sold worldwide. No other music artist has ever come close to that. The Beatles are #2 with 183 million record sales worldwide.

Elvis certainly had an ego. I love to listen to Jerry Lee and he certainly was a better piano player but he wasn't a better overall singer. Jerry Lee really had only one singing style.

Personally, I am not a Jerry Lee Lewis fan. I think he fit into the rockabilly style of the late 1950s but finding your niche is different than having the talent, creativity, and ability to evolve which is the difference between a true artist and a singer. The ones who are truly creative will never be satisfied to stick to the same old thing. I don't think Elvis was ever truly jealous of others but I think, from things I've read, that Elvis was never interested in the same 'ole same 'ole even in the way he updated his own material from earlier in his career when he was touring during the 70s is proof of such artistic evolution.
