@@thomasburnette9202 Electric vehicles IMO are better for the apocalypse since they can be charged off the grid via solar, wind or water. When the apocalypse comes all infrastructure will be down including oil mining and refining, gas stations will be looted of supplies extremely quickly so unless you have a literal TANK FARM on standby you're not going to be refueling your car anytime soon. Electric car you just place a few solar panels on the ground and begin recharging.

Some good and bad. Performance & capabilities are great and pretty good, respectively. Range not quite what was hoped, per initial indications. (🤦‍♂️Must be a tRump voter. Let's see if some information will stick.) Solar panels provide free, year round, electricity...apocalypse or no apocalypse. Your house, and therefore your Tesla, doesn't need a power grid if you have sufficient solar and batteries.

In an apocalypse you can still charge your car directly from the sun with solar and batteries. How on earth will you pump oil from the ground and refine it to put it in your ICE vehicle?
