@@dannisaur_9Literally go to any car window and it will shatter. Only the windshield has the polymers that keep it from breaking apart so that you dont get glass to the face. Car windows have to be breakable for emergencies.

The side windows are designed to "dissolve" as Joe says on a regular car. They're meant to shatter into very small pieces without sharp edges to allow rescuers to pull people out. Armored glass windows (except on the front, which are laminated on cars already) are a great way to be trapped in a car fire

A regular window doesn't "dissolve". You're only going to want to break it with an emergency glass breaking tool, punching through looks very different than with the prop window they show in the clip and is going to cut your wrist up badly.

Did he hit the back door with the sledge hammer too? Or did one crack both windows?

Also the door was open in the presence but closed in demo. They just needed to have the door open a bit to absorb the shock and it would have been fine.

The fact that a ball of that size didn't go through the window is far more important than if it breaks or not so I was always impressed. Nice feature.

The funny thing is that in real life bulletproof windows crack and chunks fly off of them. Only in the movies the windows just spark and stay intact with slight powder residue in the impact point :)
