That black fencing, at 4:32, is most likely for Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC). Specifically, it's supposed to trap "fines" - small diameter soil particles from being transported into creeks or rivers. Many building sites have this sort of fencing around the perimeter of the site.

I don’t remember, but the simple fact is that the likes of you and I don’t know and would struggle to understand the real details of any of this. What’s the delay? Batteries, probably. Or necessary design enhancements following the trial fleet operations. Or a delay in the charging network planning and eventual deployment. Or maybe just a lack of bandwidth with Tesla dealing with everything they’ve got on.

Finally. When Elon is moving, things start moving. Just look at Austin, how the expansion goes on at high speed, getting everything ready for high volumen production of the next two-three models. Im sure Elon demanded everything to be ready for Aug. 8. No one believes the Robo will go into production this year, before FSD is perfect which is still an open question. But nothing will or can stop Tesla from ramping up the 2 compelling compacts in at least three Gigas, this year. Millions in Europe and China, are only waiting for an affordable Tesla hatchback, a bit smaller than M3.

Most likely it’s because it allows them to do a custom building to the exact size and shape they want and it allows 360° access to the building which is necessary for efficient movement of materials and trucks. If they just added onto the existing factory, they would have to match that footprint and height and only have access to the outside on one side, as Elon depicted in a photo from the original announcement of the re-expansion of the factory for semi a year or so ago. It also allows them for independence from the other operations at the Gigafactory 😀

This is a great question. I was very disappointed when I learned the original plan was changed yo this separate building. Thinking about it, I think it makes sense so as to not disturb the existing plant. To answer your question, I think it could happen in the distant future if they decide to build Optimus or a new product in Nevada. One more point is that they learned how to produce more batteries in the existing footprint than they ever thought they could making the building expansion unnecessary for battery production.

Please, Please, do not go down the Joe T path of meaningless ramblings, bloviation, guesses and speculation. 1) Write notes of what you want to show for editing, and edit to that. 2) Write out your narration, word for word. 2) Read it out loud 3) Edit the narration text and read it out load again 4) Then edit that narration down to 1/4 of the words. (i.e. delete 3/4 !) 5) Rephrase the short version into "bullet points" , aka phrases 6) Read this aloud while watching the edited video. This will result in a planned, concise, edited video, with short, occasional "verbal bullet points" describing key items. You seem to have found YT's music library, or you could record 10 or more minutes on the ground of the construction machinery and background and not use music at all (it's easy to cut & paste the random background sound to any length necessary and no synchronization is required). Much of what is said in this video could have been written in the Notes below it. Thanks for the effort and good luck, because it will be a few years to completion and operation. Based on existing Tesla locations, construction will be never-ending.

@@ZaneglerTeslaSemiStalker-vt3or Look, I actually like Joe T, think he's a nice guy, but his rambling BS is nuts. Joe has made several other videos and interviews, which do not have, his now trademark, bloviating, guessing BS. He's quite good on those, but when it comes to narrating his flyovers, he seems like he can't help himself. Brad Sloan is great, and Airwave Dynamics has background sound without music or narration. Use these as aspirational instead. Note that Joe has his army of fanboys and understands that they want, and need, the narration, even though there is not that much to say. He said so on one of his videos when he started narrating again.
