Ellen is about my age; I’m 62. Our generation of lesbians were in the wars for LGBTQA people. For us being able to come out publicly and professionally is still huge. The risks we took and lost and continued to fight are what allows those who followed us to feel like being gay isn’t a big deal. We couldn’t be more delighted for you! You’re strong and vocal and that’s what we older lesbians fought for.
