This song is amazing. I just finished listening to it for the first time and I must say I'm completely blown away. I thought "Ghost" was great, but "Yours" is so much more. I don't know about anyone else, but I get melancholy a lot by ballad, so this song really speaks to me. Even only the music, without the lyric, gripped me so tightly that I can't help but to just listen in awe. Another song well done, Ella. I hope everyone get the chance to know how talented you are.

Nicholas Kyriakides Yes I totally agree. I listen and watch music for many reasons. I have this theory, I (or anyone else) can spot someone talented and real within a few seconds of a clip. There is something about their eyes, composure & attitude that give off a truly special quality that says, _I'm just being myself, focussing on something inside of me, and what you see is just an extension of that_. The opposite is when you see an artist efforting or in a studio _pseudo dancing_ to almost to make up for something. Sure you have seen the EllaHVEVO uploads like Five Tattoos or Hold On when she is sat there alone at the piano. She shows a lot of emotion in her music, especially her audition on x factor moved me and a lot of people, that shows yes this is for who i am as a person, even more so on her cher believe version made a change to it. I saw all her new music clips and have also her new album chapter one. For me and many people it shows how a singer should really be, loving their work and what they can make out of it, as well as giving their self in expression of their feelings, thus it reveals their true nature. Not like today's singers almost all have the same commercial goal of making money, selling just for the sake of it and not a feeling or emotion in their songs. That's of what we know is the works of the music industry today. This is why we need sometimes to hear a natural singer with true expressions. I'll look the video up! Thanks! :-)

Nicholas Kyriakides Did you see the part when she was asked (in the recent live ustream?) how many songs she had to choose from for the album, she said 40-50. So much different than saying I had 10, I needed 12, so I had to think fast and go find a few more. I wonder what Ella is _playing_? I think it was Tiger Woods (or some other golfer) when he was kid, said he was just looking for the perfect round. The fact that he won everything, was just a by product to him following a passion.

Interesting fact: This song holds such a special place in my heart. The first time that I ever heard it was when it aired on The Vampire Diaries when Caroline and Stefan got together. It was also the moment that my boyfriend and I got together. Although I am a hardcore stelena fan, I think it’s absolutely insane that I have the same birthday as Caroline’s character and my boyfriend has the same birthday as Stefan’s, and we happened to start dating when it was aired on the show. This song means so much to me because of this parallel and I’ll definitely be playing it at our wedding 🥺🤍

Massive deep house fan, but was listening to the radio and oh my god. The hair on my toes stood up and i pulled in straight away and bought the song. The voice of Ella -- the dream -- Adorable ...

When I first heard this song was when my girlfriend at the time told me she was pregnant. I remember looking up at the sky at night, seeing the stars and seeing the moon. I was thinking about the child that was destined to be born and this song was me and my unborn child's song. I felt such an attachment to this child, to my existence that it was painful. When she says "I wear your winder coat the one you love to wear," I imagine my kid wearing it as they get older. To this day it brings tears to my eyes to think about what could have been, what should have been. I have never loved something so much in my life. And I never met that child. The pain and attachment to my existence was never so strong.

Since I discovered her on the X Factor, I waited a bit for her to create an album, and as soon as I heard Ghost, it was not even a full song, a snippet, I knew that she would do great. And she'll continue to do great, being just 18 and as amazing as she is already, the album is fantastic, I'm so glad that she has so much success already, I just want her to stay as she is right now, and keep doing her thing, it's amazing.

I don't like too many of those artists either, but that does NOT make them worthless. they're extremely talented, even if a lot of people prefer other music. There are still popular artists that aren't that style, like Ed Sheeran, Anne Marie, Taylor Swift etc. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't like this style of music, but I don't see anyone hating on it in the comments.

That actually gave me goosebumps. (That doesn't happen often w/ me!). To hear a woman tell a man her appreciation is quite great... It's always the man stepping down to her and making her feel appreciated (which hell yeah is great too!! lol) but to hear someone (especially that's pretty and could just be a diva who thinks noone deserves her) use those words is refreshing and pretty spectacular. :)

watched her audition on the x factor when she was just 16 - and i am hooked on her ever since. So glad she is keeping on with her musical career. what a beautiful lady and beautiful voice, and songwriting.

I have watched this girl perform from the first day she stood trembling on stage in what lay ahead of her journey, she made me cry from the first note that came out of her mouth! She sings with her heart and feelings which is so hard to find, like an actor creating the outlay that lay ahead, Ella sang with her heart which effected all who were within 50 yards of her, bringing them all to tears, me included! 16 years of age and has a knowledge/feeling of a 30 year old! AM AN OLD GUY - Yet I still can see talent like ella making it to the top! The nation just love her!
