I was listening to this song this morning and the part where she says, “give up the ghost... no more haunting baby” reminded me of my parents that have passed on. It’ll be six years for my mom and 2 years for my Dad, but the pain of losing them still pains me til day. Had to sit in the parking lot of my job and just let the tears fall because I had realized I wasn’t ready to fully let go of the “ghosts” that were haunting me. I miss my mom and dad everyday, but this song made me realize that it is time to let them go and be at peace with them and myself.

Be at peace, but still remember to feel. Don't make yourself let go of relationships with loved ones who've passed - they'd want you to live your life, but you can hold on to what they did and what they mean to you. I have friends who've passed that I still let haunt me, but it only keeps me from getting lonely.

This song reminds me of an amazing girl I used to know, Rosa. We were best friends, I thought soul mates. Was 13 years old She was everything that I wanted in a girl, and we talked and laughed together every day. She was my best friend. I started to like her, but she didn't know it. After the school year ended, she had to move. It reminds me of what I could've or didn't do. I wanted to tell her I loved her so bad, but... I don't know why I didn't honestly. Still staying up extra hours thinking about her, it's like her ghost haunts me of what I didn't do. Now alone, sad, broken, well whatever, still 2 years later. Actually, I think it goes faster because as you grow, you have an ever-increasing amount of stuff to do, and you have no time to stay on one task or one thing for too long. You have more responsibilities, and your mind jumps immediately from the completion of one thing to the beginning of another. And once you've finished your last task for the day, you immediately go to bed, or something like that. And when you finally think about time, you're surprised by how fast it's flown. That's mine.

I was actually listening to some music and I heard this song which aligned with everything that I'm going through in my chaotic Capricorn live right now. It was actually playing for an ad. I thought the very same, Scooty. Thing is, is that a talent such as hers cannot, and *will not* be contained forever. Even though this song has all those views, likes, etc, her name is still to this day a year after your comment, relatively unheard. When she inevitably breaks through 'properly', I can imagine that newer fans will search around for her earlier works, find this gem and possibly force a re-release, propelling it to the heights it deserves now, let alone in the future. She is the only contestant on a show that I have actively followed and shown an interest in. I used to detest that bloody Cher song 'Do You Believe, etc', but when she sung it, in *her* way, that blew me sideways.

The story in this music video has actually happened to someone in real life. His name is Russ Faria, please look him up. His wife was murdered and he was blamed for it and sent to jail for life when he clearly had a solid alibi. His wife's killer is still on the loose. Please search him up and spread the word!! ZeroG151 Russ Faria's wife, Betsy Faria, had a "best friend" at the time named Pam Hupp. Pam made Betsy sign a life insurance policy 3 days before she was murdered. Her life insurance was set so that the new beneficiary of $150,000 would be Pam Hupp. The court decided to withhold this piece of evidence from the jury during trial. Pam was also the last one with Betsy before she died. Although Russ Faria had a solid alibi and was even recorded on camera at a gas station 30 minutes away from his home where his wife was being murdered at around the same time, he was still found guilty by the jury. Just recently as well, Pam Hupp's mother died from an "accidental fall from her balcony" and Pam inherited something like $500,000 from her mother's life insurance. Coincidence? I highly doubt that. This song brings me back to a time in my life when this song meant soo much to me.. I'm a former heroin addict I am in recovery and I have four years clean. In 2013 I was really really bad and my addiction and I slept on a park bench for three nights I was trying to find myself I tried getting clean but heroin is extremely difficult when you don't have a support system and the well to pursue recovery. The song brings me back to that time of my life. It's now 2021 July I have a 15-year-old a three year old and an 18 month old. We're two youngest kids were born after I got clean. The song really brings me back to when I was using the height of my addiction hadn't come just yet but I can't believe how many memories come rushing back listening to a song. Her voice is beautiful

I always like this song when it would air on the radio all the time. And the vocalist has a wonderful voice too...

This song was one of my favorite bangers of 2014, played it countless times on Spotify.

I was really excited for the debut album, but this song doesn't seem too promising. It has a good beat, and the potential to be catchy, but I just cannot relate to it. I was expecting songs that were more heartfelt from you, like the ones you performed on X Factor. You have a phenomenal voice, so I'm still gonna stick around and see what's next.

I agree, I do think that Ella is probably the greatest talent that's come out of the UK x factor. When she performed her own original song in the audition, you knew she was special. This track is good but it seems that when they find a great talent they can't do what they did with Kate Bush and say "go and write more great songs and be yourself". Instead they say, we can slot you into this market, we're going to to get you to work with this experienced songwriter who's had a few previous hits so they're a safe bet, and don't be yourself, be as we tell you. The net result is, good material that sounds like hundreds of other stuff already out there. Sorry to sound cynical but footnote is Ella's brilliant and I'll be following progress

I completely agree... her raw voice is truly incredible. Priceless. I just really hope she will break away from the most mainstream pop and not be afraid to be different because her talent is really too good just to slot into the mainstream society. However, I reckon her management made her do a safe pop song as a debut just to get her out there and popular so hopefully she will start writing and producing more relatable songs.
