The GOP has no leg to stand on if they say they believe in the rule of law. Let the law speak for itself.

The law can only speak if facts still matter. I am not sure that facts still matter in todays GOP at least in so far as those concerning Donald Trump.

I like Elie Honig he is Fair and objective. He understands Politics well and how precedent works in our Laws. He’s 100% right about the Georgia Case and I am a swing voter. I have nearly zero interest in power for powers sake. I have a family to take care of. Politicians usually annoy me.

Can't put a sitting criminal President on trial? The law really is an ass. So some really ARE above the law.

It’s also intriguing that the Nixon Foundation states that Buckley’s support in 68’ was not just beneficial but crucial, and finally it is again intriguing that Buckley’s brother was the first Republican Senator to approach Nixon and ask for his resignation.

To concerns of trial before election - This is America and the questions are answered and Then the election is held. That's how we've always done it. It's caution over prosecuting a former president that is now a crisis in DOJ and the nation, and wondering if we should let it multiply?

So let’s put forth a ‘layman’s’ logic as he or she stands before a judge on let’s say, a speeding ticket. The defence lawyer presents evidence obtained about several other speeding violators by various drivers at previous times, were dismissed in other Courts by other judges under different circumstances, investigated by different officials and presents the lot as a defence. And the logic is a judge should then dismiss the case before him based on THAT evidence presented? I say to Honig; stop pandering to the wilfully ignorant and wholly incompetent non-thinking public. If they were going to take onboard any legal lecture while giving it their most sincere critical thought they would have done that a decade ago. For now they seem content with torches and pitchforks as their man tools.

Yo ELIE, in the last 24 hours I have felt the need to share my ignorance with you and maybe that is because I need a mentor, one who can show me the light and enlightenment that ignorant part of me… IMMUNITY-IF PRESIDENT HAD FULL IMMUNITY WOULD WE BE ABLE TO EVER GET HIM OR HER OFF THE OFFICE OR EVEN FROM HIRING SEAL TEAM 6 FROM KILLING WHOEVER HE OR SHE WANTS? I am so ignorant ELIE that I cannot even picture or visualize how a president can hire any seal team units when they are already hired by the defense department/military! To say that the bombs that were dropped in Japan during ww2 were under immunity or fell under the immunity clause and should be the reason why why Trump should get immunity for January 6th insurrection is the same as saying that Trump can be an American president but also the CALIPHATE LEADER. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE ELIE. Plus, the manhattan project was approved on the hush hush. Again, the president did what congress and senate wanted him to do or voted for him to do in secret. Trump’s action to overturn the election was not approved by the house nor does the constitution allows those actions. The atomic bombs, which I still don’t agree that they should have been dropped in 🇯🇵 Japan, were a part of national defense and not national surrender or national treason!
