Batman in the brave and the bold was always just one moment away from ejecting someone from his bat plane
Marvel's Stan Lee always liked Plastic Man's powers, but thought they were being wasted on a comical character like Plas, so he created Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four, who was a very smart & serious character that used his powers more practically & entelegantly than Plas did.

The reason why Plastic Man is comedic relief is because he used to be an criminal and the fact he has endless amount of options on how to use his shape-shifting powers making him a legit terrifying hero.
Ah, yes. The hero whose powers are so terrifying that it had to be balanced out with a great sense of humor and being extra. Edit; said with all the love in my heart because I love this terrifying bean of a man.
i love how hard plas dodges that womans advances "Do you wanna do it?" "No thanks, I'm having a lazy Friday... and Saturday and Sunday and..."
Not really showcased in this comp, but it's interesting that Brave And The Bold reverses one of the elements of how Plas and Woozy's dynamic usually goes. Plastic Man's the one who transitioned into being a hero rather easily, and Woozy is the one who always wants to steal stuff, and needs to be reined in by Plas.

I remember that old Plastic Man cartoon. In hindsight, it's weird that that got made.
