In Insomniac he complains and belittles both Spider-Men equally. I don't believe he's ever personally gone after Miles in other media...He's a simp for the OG Spidey mainly. Could be wrong.

With how much JJ hires known criminals and evil geniuses it's crazy to me how he's not in jail. He literally hires Smythe to make the spider slayers to kill Spider-man and they cause so much damage to the city and what he did to Scorpion. It would be nice to see him get his comeuppance.

Because of plot. Legal systems are a joke in comics otherwise they definitely would've been executed for terrorism human experimation and other crimes against humanity just to make the good guys seem competent. But shield is definitely the mostly realistic government would definitely recruit mutants and use them as covert agent or someone. But yeah.

It's just the writers way of luring the fans by teasing exactly what everything wanted but then pulling the plug at the last second giving us blueballs because otherwise they'd have to stick with the consequences by either finish JJJ as a side charecter or make some major changes to the character but they don't wanna change his dynamic in the story. They wanna keep that Tom and Jerry dynamic between Peter and JJJ

The writers do change the narrative of the story. JJJ does find out Spider-Man’s identity and helps him with his crime fighting; starting with a large raise in his wages.

I’m more surprised that he thought Peter was worth going after. I don’t recall millions being available to get out Peter Parker. That’s like drying to wring out a dry Sponge. You might be able to make the case it was to set president for any future fake photographers, but still really doesn’t add much to your payout.

One thing I love about the it’s because I’m black joke is that people aren’t entirely sure what Spider-Man looks like underneath the mask because anyone could be under the mask like there’s 2 other spider-men who took the mask when Peter was gone. Miles, Spider-Man #2, for instance is mixed, but people in universe think he’s Latino, and I think he keeps it that way because there’s already enough well known black super heroes in marvel. And there’s Yu Onomae the fake red Spider-Man who is Asian American, when Peter went missing Yu found the costume and became Spider-Man for a short while without any powers, and people thought he was the original, but out there in the multiverse set in modern day their was a asian Spider-Man in New York. Stan Lee didn’t realize on what he had done with Spider-Man. Making his costume fully covered Stan realized beneath the suit he could be anyone

Stan Lee actually has said in interviews that he enjoyed the idea that Spider-Man could be anyone under the mask, and he was also very open to the idea of multiple Spider-Men of different colors and genders. He saw it as an opportunity for all kids to see themselves slinging webs.

That black line is really gonna come back to bite Jameson in the ass if Parker ever dies and Miles dons the suit

This comic Is almost a complete juxtaposition of when Spider-Man had Daredevil as a lawyer, since there he acts as serious as possible and Daredevil manages to solve things without the end result needing to be Spidey revealing his identity.

To be fair Spidey would've taken the win against Jonah in court, but only so long as Pug didn't bring down Peter Parker. I half expected Peter to take off his mask to show Pug that he wouldn't allow Parker dragged down with Jameson. Pug would've been super embarrassed that he was attacking Spider-Man's secret identity.

The "because I'm black." line would've been so hilarious if Miles Morales was in this story. But this was during the Dan Slott run on She-Hulk, so I know this takes place in the 2000's. In fact, I don't think Jonah hates Miles at all nor has had any direct or indirect interactions with him.

I love the expression drawn on the lawyer looking at JJ: "Seriously JJ after all these years?!"

He gets arrested for his crimes. He committed lying about Spider-Man in the newspaper, so that’s why he got fired. He escapes jail becomes a super villain, and Spider-Man has to stop him and imagine Jonah Jameson became the hub goblin or became a lizard man to go after Spider-Man blaming Spider-Man for ruining his life when he ruined his own life

I've never liked how the story ended. Felt like a bad cop out. It would have been great to see Jameson lose. Even better if somewhere in the background at the end there's a news broadcast about Scorpion taking Jameson to court. It's not like the writers would have had to worry about Spidey getting rich, MJ already convinced Spidey to donate to charity. And they could have had Jonah settle out of court for an amount that would not have broken the Bugle.
