Excellent presentation. I host Estate Sales mostly for the elderly. Every sale has books. The book buyers have scanning software on their phones that make it quick to process. Most book buyers run through and grab what they know. They are very old school. You have a system to process almost everything and that is MONEY. I had to force my book buyer clean out person to take magazines and brochures. He discovered there is more money in them than most books. A good process that deals with everything available in a systematic way will make you money. Bins or shelves doesn't,t matter. Left to right, you to bottom. Scan everything. Perfect system!

A little disappointed. No doctors or scientists donations in this bin...LOL. I will probably make $250-300 from Amazon, Ebay, & Buy Back your Books. Will defintely buy another one.

Do you have any tips on sourcing unsorted pallets? I am not sure where to begin. Thanks for all your content, I have learned a lot from you!

Best places are the big thrift stores and text books at colleges. It's hard to find one.

Found a Black's Law Dictionary 4th Deluxe over the weekend - the only good find at one thrift, but it made me happy. I've had some other law books sitting around for a while that I have no idea how to price or if there's much or any demand for them. One example is Lindey on Entertainment, Publishing & the Arts (2nd Edition - not the latest). Have you sold law book sets like that and if so did you sell them on Amazon or eBay? Maybe the better question is: how do you come up with a price for something when you can't find an example of it listed or sold? Great video as always.

I just found another 4th blacks today! I'm on a run. As for prices on things that aren't showing comps. It's just a crap shoot. I just try to find any way to get some one to bite. It's not easy.

So I am scanning dvd’s and it can’t read the upc so I need to type in the title. It won’t let me. I had to turn off my Bluetooth and I had to end up turning off the scanner because when I went to scan another one after finding that dvd it would recognize the scanner until I turned it off and on. Was hoping the one you use doesn’t do that. I want to be able to scan an item and respond to a text if I need to or type within ebay to check on something. Thank you so much for the help!!

I have same issue. So I just turn of Bluetooth and respond. Only way. Sorry.

Question do you fulfill by merchant for Amazon? Not sure I want to ship to them and pay storage. Thanks!

I send the in and SELL FBA. Storage is part of doing business with them. You can set triggers to dump your inventory if it doesn't sell by a certain time.

What scanner do you use please. I bought symcode Bluetooth and once you turn it on thru Bluetooth you can’t use your phone at all

You have to see if the big box thrifts have a program. It can be hard.

There WASa a time, when arcades, we're not around. What do you do, with those books?

Books are sold on AMAZON and other on EBAY.

btw mike, i couldn't remember if u sold on Mercari...but id like to hear your thoughts since the recent changes. i watched your previous video about it, but id like to hear what u have to say since then. Cause i could give Mercari a mouthful lol

I noticed you seem to be automatically throwing away the ones without dust jackets. I once found a book without a dust jacket at a thrift store that sold for $330 on ebay auction. Probably a unicorn though.

I do look at them. I have a really good feel for what is good and isn't. I'm sure I have missed some through out the years. I can always do better.

Wish we had the bins here in Australia. Some big reseller youtubers here in Australia, have deals straight with charity organisations, buying bulk for cents in the dollar. One book seller get a full car load for free every two weeks. A lot she just throw in a garbage bin. I think wot a waste. Cheers Graham

I've dropped both phone and scanner. Have to leave phone on rings so I can hear where its at.

Hi Mike! Another Bay Area flipper here (living in Ukraine). Such a shame you need to toss your purchases back, I've got a suggestion for you... haul your rejects to the swap meets on the weekend and sell for a buck a book until all are gone. Then donate the left overs to your local library for a tax write off. Love yer channel amigo, we've similar life paths in many ways, I'm just a few years behind ya!

​@@goldenstatepicker I know the weekends might be busy for you golfin' and pickin' (although swapmeets are also great places to pick), maybe hire/partner with some dude (or two) with a pickup truck and pay them a percentage for managing the weekend book flog at The San Jose Flea Market & San Jose Capitol Flea Market. I actually got my start in flippin' as a kid that way...

also, mike get u one of those little pick sticks so u dont have to risk hurting your back reaching in

Unfortunately the grabber stick is just to slow. I'm careful when leaning and also its easier just climbing in.

And I can't even imagine the number of false IP complaints sellers must get on Amazon. You think Ebay is bad with Veros......Amazon must be worse.

So I’m fascinated by this but I’m confused about the set up you have here. Are you buying pallets of books or did someone else buy these and you’re just able to go through and pick what you like? Seems like you’re keeping less than a half a dozen of that entire box for?

I'm buying pallets. FRESH unsorted. I keep only the books that I will sell. Some go on AMAZON FBA and others go one Ebay for various reasons. There are many that aren't sellable, damaged, etc those go into a bin that I fill up as I go along. Those are then resold to a jobber that gets them after I'm done with them. That process takes time as they only come to purchase those every 45 days or so. Basically they are UNSORTED BINS when I get them the JOBBER isn't getting much as I have gone through them.
