Its so clear how vital the herd are to Khanyisa’s recovery and healthy growth. She has learned so much being with the herd, playing, interacting, seeking comfort. And now she has a big sister to play with. Isn’t it ignorant to fail to realise that an elephant family is so essential for the development of their young!

Four little legs in a forest of moving giants but never a leg out of place. Shows the exceptional care and sensitivity of all of them. Wonderful to watch!

I am in awe at how the entire herd watches over that precious little Khanysia. My feelings exactly this brings a lump to my throat every time I watch these amazing gentle animals how some people think it's okay to go out and kill them just sickens me

You can see Timisa’s soul thru her eyes. She seems so precious

I could watch these beautiful animals all day. Their love and acceptance is just so heartwarming. The fact that people could hurt them is beyond me. ❤️🐘🦍🦧

I have never seen videos that go into descriptions about behavior, habitat, and dietary needs, either. It's fascinating to watch humans among them paying attention to every need in order to make their lives better. A miraculous place on earth. Grateful to be a witness.

Khanyisa crawling on her wrists to go beneath Kumbura is about the cutest thing I have ever seen! 😍 Such a smart baby! 😂

My GOD, they are so beautiful!!! I love how affectionate they are towards each other. What an amazing family bond they have.

They are so much like us women. We all want to see and hold the new baby of the family. This is so precious.

In my life I have never seen such close ups of an elephant before. Their face, their skin, it was awe inspiring. Thank you.

I love of all baby animals, including human, recognize another baby or youngster. Khanyisa realizing Tamisa is not a grown up is just like a Kindergarten kid following a 3 Rd grader.

I love how comfortable they are in each other’s company. One would never guess she was only adopted by the herd recently.

They do watch and protect her constantly. She's not left unsupervised for one second. SHE'S PART OF THE HEARD NOW Of course like every infant, she could be mischievous some times but we all love her

I fell in love with Timisa awhile ago when she opened her mouth and showed her molars and pink tongue to Adine. That tiny "standoff" between Khanyisa & Timisa was too funny. They are definitely going to be best friends. 🐘❤🐘

Simply beautiful! The co-operation of the herd is amazing. The cows seem delighted with their new member and the welcoming committee was out to make sure Khanyisa had some fun. What joy to see her with other calves as the females keep a watchful eye. Khanyisa is probably over the moon with having cousins to frolic with. 💘 🐘

I'm looking back at this, I am in utter awe of the family, our girl looks so Tiny here, the love and togetherness is absolutely remarkable and beautiful to see. I love that little Timisia agreed that Khanysia was 100% welcome. I forgot some of this and can not believe it is 3 years already . You where right Adine Khanysia and Timisia stole my heart along with each family member 💙💙💙

"Being" on your wonderful walks, relaxes me. I find that the ellies live so peacefully (usually) and the way they all love each other fills my heart with peace.

I love this little sweetheart. Every member of the herd are so very protective of Khandysia. She loves 💘 playing with her older sisters and nurses every chance she can. I have loved elephants since I was a young girl.

I lived near The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. I donated to them regularly. I never went there, besides the fact of no visitors, I would probably never want to leave. These magnificent creatures mesmerize me. Watching the youngsters play is truly a blessing. Thank you for sharing these videos with us all.

When Khanyisa first went to Lindo to say " Good morning!", Lundi's eyes looked full of love and adoration! And so did the eyes of the elephant on the other side of Khanyisa. I wonder if that was Bubi? I noticed Bubi is very protective and motherly towards Khanyisa. All the females seem to be very protective of her. How wonderful for Khanyisa! No wonder she seems to be growing in self-confidence! Lol! 💕

Love that when limpopo was left alone with kanisha, lundi quickly approachs a bit worried but then she stands there only checking the situation. she was just making sure limpopo wouldn't act bad with the baby again! Smart lundi!

It almost looked like Khanyisa was playing hide and seek with Timisa under Kumbura’s belly, lol. While the youngsters were still playing Tokwe moved up quickly up and placed herself between them and Bubi. I like to watch Tokwe doing her matriarchal stuff. Many times it’s pretty quick and easy to miss. She’s firm, though, and they do as she directs. I saw her recently check Kumbura when she seemed to get a bit too possesive of Khanyisa when the baby wanted to go see her humans. Tokwe stepped in and made Kumbura back off. Kumbura, the dear soul that she is, takes her auntie duties very seriously.

So accepting. Its wonderful to watch the way they watch over babies!

It is so sweet to see Baby Khanyisa playing with little Timisa and Kumbura joining them They share the same kind of story and it might create a special bond between them It's incredible how miss Sunshine is surrounded by the loving care of mother Lundi, Tokwe and the other allomothers as Bubi, Limpopo so moving!

Little Khanyisa obviously feels safe with the herd to play. It is amazing that this herd of elephants have formed a family bond and accept all those that need a new home. Gentle giants with so much to give. The physical scars remain but the love they give each other lessens the emotional ones.They teach humans so much yet only a few want to learn.

Dustin Wegner So many humans seem so far gone these days, my heart breaks seeing all the violence around the world. All I can do is pray. Elephants seem so wise and kind compared to human beings.

They all give her a hug and love. So important for baby! She loves it too.

Claudette: I can never have enough of seeing Khanyisa and Timisa, playing so sweetly and becoming lovely friends. I am glad Khanyisa decided that little Timi was the right size for a playmate and how lovingly Timisa begins to fondle baby K with her trunk! Also lovely to see Kumbura being loving to the two little ones! What a special family of love!

Close encounters of the best kind. This particular video was extra special. Khanyisa was still pretty new to everyone here: watching her relationships with the different ellies unfold with such complexity and gentleness was a wonderful to see. 💙🐘🌍💫💙 Thank you to HERD for making it possible to beat witness.

I truly love to watch the little girls Khanyisa, and Timisa play, it so much fun to watch, it reminds me when I was knee high to a grasshopper, when I use to set out to play, and not a care in the world, as long as my family were near me...joy, joy, joy

It can be seen that Khanyisa brings positive childlike energy into the herd. Without her the adults would just stand and chew, chew, chew. But when the little one comes and whirls around, the group moves. This energy is a kind of thank you for the love she gets from the herd.

She'll always have a loving friendship with Timisa! 💗

I can't get enough of their love fest. Khanyisa is the star, and they all embrace her. But after what she's been through she deserves every last bit of it. So great that she's been accepted by them all.

Coco Sheen -I agree with you Coco. It’s like when we were kids and couldn’t wait to get outside to play with our friends.Khanysia is just so precious. Who is she using as her Mom now? Adobe do you really appreciate and love the job that you have? I would love to swipe places with you for one day. I can’t imagine how wonderful it would be. The very best to you always. I agree. I think they see that every day that they think it is not interesting. I really like that moment as well. Khaniysa running looks like a toddler trying to run, you always feel she might fall. Then as she is about to greet her herd family they cut that part out.

I love khanyisa running to greet the herd in the morning too,her little gait,it's like a toddler and yes you think she may fall,she's adorable and I love her little run

Her little foot trying to stomp down that bush! The whole way through all of these videos all I can do is just mumble condtanyly.....how cute....just adorable oh my gosh the sweetness!! The whole herd are special....but Khanesia has something Angelic about her. Her sweetness, her gentle playfulness, her vulnerability and her insight into knowing exactly that she is now, an integral part of this herd and that they love her to pieces! It's tangible....you can feel it in all of her actions but never in a precosious way....it is always with pure innocence when she tries to copy one of the herd when foraging or looks to one of them with her trunk to make contact just because she enjoys it! Her personality is so much bigger than her physical size and you could almost imagine you are glimpsing her soul!

Khanyisa "It takes a village" to raise a baby Elephant. A forest of legs deft, sensitive, trunks connected to their intelligent hearts. Thank you for this most intimate glimpse

I am just amazed how much these animals love you guys...so well behaved everyone of them..they listen ..they follow ..seems they even love...but I guess you always keep in mind they are still wild animals..True?

Khanyisa is such a character! She is soooo silly! I love the way she just ran right in between Kumbura's 2 front legs, right underneath her & seemed to move onto another. It's like she was saying! Ha=Ha Timisa, I can get away from you quicker than you think! And then she continues as if to say, "I feeel sooooo Good! Soooo Strong! C'mon, who's next! Who wants to play with me?" I can almost hear her saying it! She is such a delight! A loveable little delight!

This 1 of the most impressive video's I've seen so far that show's us how intelligent & deeply connected these gentle giant soul's are. We can actually watch their awesome bond's grow w/each other & the HERD carer's team everyday - I love that they're constantly in-touch & are extremely protective of their young n each other.... always feeling one another's energy making sure they're o k- My respect 4 elephant's has grown soooo much that watching/observing them has become a kind of meditation 4 me, it feels like their healing me on a level I didn't even know existed within me - Its a beautiful thing! U guy's are doing a great service 4 all of us even as u post video's so people can learn why these amazing Beings MUST be protected - we have so many lessons 2 learn from these powerful ancient teachers! Elephant's are the perfect example of the idea: It Takes A Village 2 Raise a Child.... : )
