That's the fucking script writers fucking with you, Damon killed her brother turned Vicky because he was bored killed Ric killed Lexi, took away Elena's right to choose between becoming a vampire or dying, he's a real charmer, your as fucked in the head as the producers and script writers

Wow is she beautiful. Loved their love story but hated how they handled it’s conclusion. Just as they make it she’s put to sleep for two seasons & awakened for just a brief reunion with the epic love of her life. The whole show was driven by their relationship, given what went before it was almost treated as an afterthought in the finale. That annoyed me.

I think Damon fell in love with true Elena without comparassion to Katherine. He can accept Elena at any side, human or vampire but Stefan couldn't accept her as a vampire, he was afraid that Elena will be 'bad'. He loves Katherine that's why he keeps her picture for years but he can never admit his feelings for such bad person and after everything she has done Stefan sees Katherine in Elena, Elena is just better version of Katherine fir him. I'm Sure if the writers show good side of Katherine he will fall in love with her again Damon/Elena and Stefan/Katherine should've end up together
