Pre-installed Klipper Firmware
With a quiet Klipper motherboard and ARM 64-bit 1.5G main frequency quad-core high-performance processor, ELEGOO Neptune 4 can achieve printing speed of up to 500mm/s (recommended 250mm/s), allowing you to produce your models faster than ever before, support input shaping and pressure advance function to improve the print quality of models. 8G RAM provides enough storage space for fast printing.
Dual-Gear Direct Extruder
The new self-developed dual-gear direct drive extruder with a 5.2:1 reduction ratio ensures powerful extrusion and smoother filament feeding. Paired with copper-titanium all-metal throat pipe and unique air duct design to effectively improve the heat dissipation of the throat pipe and reduce nozzle blockage risk.
300°C High-temp Nozzle
With a 300°C high-temp nozzle and an extended hot end, which means the filament can be fully melted and uniformly flow out even at high printing speed, this printer can handle a wide range of materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and high-temperature filaments such as nylon.
Auto Bed Leveling
auto bed leveling ensures quick and accurate leveling of the build platform. For perfect first-layer printing, you can also use the hand-twist knobs under the build platform for auxiliary leveling. In addition, the PEI magnetic platform allows for the easy printed models removal with just a slight bend.
Efficient & Instant Cooling
The 2 thickened double-sided 4015 model cooling fans with strong wind for more comprehensive and efficient heat dissipation, along with the 4x4020 ball bearing blower fans behind the print head to quickly cool down the newly deposited model, ensuring good print quality even at very fast printing speed.
Removable Capacitive Touchscreen
The 4.3-inch removable capacitive touchscreen can be operated by hand-held or fixed on the base, and features a model preview function and pause printing function for added convenience. The gantry's LED light strip with 30 beads and a hood, combined with an LED light on the nozzle for observing the model printing in a dark environment.

Man, this video has been such a life-saver. One thing of note: The "freebie SD card" is included because you need it to update the display. You can update the printer through USB but the connected display actually needs to be taken apart and has a little SD reader inside.
Now this is a review! For days I was just looking at reviews and found that people are just making short meaningless videos about there favourite or least favourite 3D printers. And now finally I found the guy who makes an informative, long and very detailed review about this 3D printer. Thank you my G!
Just got the Neptune 4 Max, my first FDM printer (previously been using only resin) and this video became my lifeline. My very first print came out pretty darn good! Thank you for this well done format, it kept me calm during a first timers build, setup and first print launch.
I just got my new Neptune 4 yesterday. So impressed with it. Super fast and good quality.
I was searching for a new printer because mine is very old and I think I found the one thanks to you !! So Thank you very much and continue your amazing work !
I've had this printer for almost a month and I think it's really good for all beginners. Considering its price, it's a really good printer and easy to use. Thank you!
This is probably the best video I have seen to date. very thorough on everything, great explanations and presentation. Immediate like and subscribe!
I got this from someone who said, "It never worked." I plugged it in, and the switch lit up, but the power didn't work. Until I got to 21:28 of your video! 115V had to be switched on instead of 230V! Thanks a ton!
I got my son this printer for Christmas, and I was gonna spend this weekend getting it calibrated and set up, but you made it too easy. Thanks brother
This was an awesome review of the new Neptune 4! The prints are impressive! Especially the Deadpool bust!
Awesome review - thanks for taking the time to post this
thanks for this, just ordered it and its helpful to have this as a preview! Keep up the amazing content
thank you for taking the time to make this video. It really helped me a lot setting my new Neptune 4. I'm new to 3D Printing.Greetings from Puerto Rico.
Thank you for this video. I own a different brand of printer (a very similar I3 klipper) and you provided a very coherent explanation of belt tensioning and roller adjustment. Very useful. Try the 18 minute benchy file from the USB. I had a similar improbable fast benchy file on mine, and it turned out surprisingly high quality.
@JustVlads Oh my god, you've made this product so ACCESSIBLE to my brain! Thank you for this in-depth review!
I've had my Neptune 3 pro for about 2 months and I just got the Neptune 4, holy hell this thing lays down plastic extremely fast. Haven't had it an hour yet and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. Got it brand new for $230 cash on offer up. What a score!!

Great video! I purchased my Neptune 4 last night as my first 3d printer and wanted to look up videos while waiting for it to arrive. This makes me think I bought a good one as everything was explained so nicely. I'm sure I'll be back in a few days to rewatch some parts when the laser comes in!

Nice review. Hopefully they make a max version.
Klipper is awesome and Elegoo got a lot right with the Neptune 4. I'm looking forward to a Neptune 4 Pro, but in a 300 mm Plus size. I wish Elegoo included WiFi so it's easy to use with Klipper. Who uses a wired LAN connection these days? It also needs an all metal hot end.
I finally got mine that I ordered early July! Mine did come with manual though. It's the same thing you found just printed out, thought I'd share!
@GSpacmanvice

Actually change that, mine didn't come with the head part attached, I had to attach it myself.
I should buy my first 3D printer, and I'm undecided between the Elegoo Neptune 4 and the 4 PRO version. What advantage do the metal guides and rollers of the 4 PRO version provide? Do the plastic ones in the 4 version tend to wear out? If they tend to wear out after many prints, are there any replacement parts available? Is it worth spending a bit more to have only the heated bed with zone heating and the metal guides and rollers?
Best 3D printer reviewer on KZread... hands down. I wish one of my two printer would just die so I could get this baby... oh well.

For what it's worth...I got my Neptune 4 non-Pro yesterday, and I genuinely can't understand why anybody would buy anything else. I've been printing at 280mm/s 0.12mm-0.2mm layer height, and with plain black PLA there's no noticeable ringing or over-/under-extrusion. With silk PLA, a small amount of ringing is apparent, but nothing like I'd see on the Neptune 3 at 80mm/s. Also...be brave and make yourself a Prusaslicer profile from the printer specs; it's so much better than Elegoo's Cura 4.8 there's no competition.

Hey! I've been looking for this for ages. I'm trying to create a Prusaslicer profile myself, but I'm coming from Resin printing so a little lost. Do you have your settings for it please? mainly the 'Speed for print moves' as i think that's the most important right?
No that it is really needed, but can you connect this Klipper printer to a Pad7 or Sonic Pad and keep the existing firmware?
For my printer I have the EZABL sensor and Th3D offers solid ABS standoffs to replace the springs. Never again do I have to manually level my bed.
awesome video thanks ! and quick question, do i have to do the whole leveling and auto bed leveling process between each print ? no matter the time the print took or the time between each ?
Looking for my first FDM printer and this sold me
Have you tried printing using LAN with the Ethernet cable? If so what is the prosses? I saw there was a part for it in the instructions but could not see it in your video. If you could tell me about that I would be grateful. Thank you.
Thanks man!!!
I know this may be a stupid question, but how do you turn of your Neptune 4 printer? Im making this question becouse i cut the power by turning of the switch on the power font, but by doing that the screen start to flicking and get some restart options just secounds of turning off.
I’m looking into getting my first 3D printer, and I’m thinking of getting the Neptune 4 to get my feet wet. The 4 Max is tempting, but that may be a bit too daunting for a newb like myself 😅 Thanks for this awesome video!
Some questions: 1) What material is the heatbreak made of? Steel with tube? Steel? Titan? Bimetal? 2) What kind of heatbreak is used? CR10? Chemera? Kraken? V6? Proprietary? 3) What type of heatblock is used? CR10? Proprietary? 4) What type of nozzle is used? Mk8? V6? Proprietary? Are there abrasive-resistant options on the market? 5) What size of blower fans is used in the printhead to cool the model? 4010? 4020? Something else? 6) Does the back array of fans blows across the whole plate (which is 235 mm)? Or just across the specified 225mm?
a great video, new subscriber
Have you played with flexible filament on this printer and if so what is it like ?
So helpful😊❤
having a problem where the left side of my prints are rough and the right side is perfect on a flat item. ive leveled it multiple times same issue. Left side of the print is like more pushed in giving it an un even bottom how can i fix it
Do you lose the more advanced features of Klipper such as the ability to connect via web UI?
Would have been interesting to know how long the test prints at the end took, Im really interested in how long the Deadpool Bust took 😊😊
Sovol SV07 or Neptune 4? Which would YOU select? Thanks very much.
So I’m like dumb and getting into 3D printing. I watched a couple videos on this printer and if I remember correctly, they said that it had to be connected through the Ethernet cable, is this true? cause I didn’t see you hook it up, so do you not need it to print things? Sorry if this is a stupid question😅

Yes, even the powerhouses lile the Bambu X1C have their issues. BUT you need to know how problematic is the printer, the Ender 3 is very popular and won it's fame as the ultimate beginner printer because is from a time when 3D printing was HARD, the Ender 3 was like the less frustrating and problematic printer of that time and for that reason it got it's fame. On this new decade we can see that new contenders appeared on the beginner section, and some of them are less problematic and friendly than the Ender 3 like the Neptune series of Elegoo.

It's true that only some manufacturers implement Klipper for their hardware. It's a software investment that could add costs to items. Historical background of trends is interesting at least in order to avoid intro like yours. NOT AN OS and NOT NEW! How could you have 28K viewers in 1 month when way more serious reviewers just got 5K? all the mystery of laziness that drives some people when looking for decent reviews.
