    Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for taking the time to explain Electron Configuration of Ions in AP/General Chemistry. In order to fully understand the Electron Configuration of Ions, attention must be paid to the plus and minus ions on each element. This is an error free video/lecture on KZread TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.

    At 8:30 , you said that the electron must be removed from 'the highest energy level' OR 'the outermost shell'. HOWEVER, both of them are not same. Highest energy level is determined by (n+l) rule which corresponds to 3d (n+l= 5) and not 4s( n+l=4). But, outermost shell is the shell with highest value of 'n' which is 4s and not 3d. Please reply and correct me if I am wrong

  • @anahitanimbalkar6612

    @anahitanimbalkar6612

    2 жыл бұрын

    I think there's a bit of confusion with the wording. So n indicates which energy level the electron is on. When he said "highest energy level" he likely meant the energy level with the highest number, not the level with the highest energy. The n+l rule can help identify the highest energy subshell, meaning the subshell with the highest energy (sounds redundant but there's a distinction!). So in conclusion, you are right that the subshell with the highest energy is 3d; however, the highest energy level is 4, and this is the level which electrons should be removed from first. If there are two subshells with the same n value, the electron is removed from the subshell with the highest l value.

    The electronic configuration of the compounds and non compounds can always be increased, depending on the qty of the compounds and non compounds, this way, the absorption of nutrients, healing time, as well as the configurations that is needed for the ions to work in a derived timeframe. For some minor ailments, such as bruises, scars in the skin, the said timeframe can be derived from the electron configuration, example o2 two compounds of oxygen can be increased in order to be o8, remember base compound, from the elements, can be increased including their centrifugal forces as o2, o3, all the way to 8. Exponential logarithym.
