    how do you calculate the voltage and frquency requied for the size of panel you are making so as not to burn it out. Is there a calculator for this or formula available.

    Educational tutorial, thanks. However i have doubt i would appreciate if you could clarify doubt of mine. Instead of connecting silver conductive ink and ITO coated film with wires, is it possible to print the tracks with screen printing and then crimp it? For example like a membrane switch crimping.

    In the beginning you showed 9V battery (min 0:44) but then you mentioned that we need to apply 90V to implement this process. (min 4:32) Sorry if i understand wrong but I need this values for my electroluminescent project. I would be grateful if you would help me in this matter. Best regards.

    The inverters generate the higher AC voltage.

  • @donaldviszneki8251

    The reasons likely include: High resistive losses. Low maximum luminosity. Breaks down quickly. Needs higher voltages and can only be operated with AC.

    you have to dig into it a bit. I wondered the same thing for a while and got a basic understanding by watching several videos last week: the base layer just need to be a decent conductive material, anything from actual metal, or graphite conductive paint, etc The Dielectric layer is more exact google "dielectric grease" or "dielectric spray" The phosphorous layer, search: Electro-luminescent Phosphorus the conductive clear coat is more tricky, google: Conductive clear coat spray, you should get the same company that makes the dielectric spray. And the normal clear coat layer would be any non-conductive clearcoat

    500 Hz? is it ok? so we could achieve these values only through weird converters, right? Or did you mean 50 Hz?

  • @Sedokun

    @Sedokun

    9 жыл бұрын

    Carlos Blanka No, 500Hz. You could make it with 50Hz but it'll be dimmer. Brightness per area increases with frequency and voltage. Search for Electroluminescent drivers (for el-wire), those are pretty cheap in our days and supplies up to 120VAC(RMS) 2000Hz from 5V DC. Higher values will decrease lifespan of a phosphor. Most phosphor manufacturers are using 100V(RMS)-400Hz pair for testing. Here's spectrum dependency of ZnS Phosphor from frequency: mds.marshall.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1494&context=etd And some common info on Phosphors: www.gwent.org/gem_data_sheets/polymer_systems_products/electroluminescent_display_materials/electroluminescent_brochure.pdf www.mdpi.com/1996-1944/3/2/1353/pdf
