    This is a great review, the best about Canyon. Finally somebody showing clearly the passage between normal and tap mode. Thanks!

    I just got a chance to try this out today at a Guitar Center, and all I can say is that I'm incredibly impressed with the synth sounds you can get from it. Absolutely great little all around effect pedal at an extremely reasonable price.

    Thanks for explaining how the Tap Divide feature works! (8:04-8:29) I could not find a Canyon pedal review that would describe its full use, so I'm glad I found the answer here along with a great review of the pedal.

    loved what you said about analog and digital in regards to delay. I recently switched to all analog and for fuzz and distortion it really paid off. I got this really cheap digital mod pedal and it does the trick good enough for now. I was hesitant ordering this because it's digital but it just sounds great for the $$. Can't believe this pedal has a looper, 8 or 9 types of delays? AND reverb, this EHX is setting the bar!

    By far the best revew on this pedal. I have no experience about delay pedal, but to my ear this Canyon sound a little bit agressive and brittle on the transient attack on the strings. Is it the case for all pedal delay ?

    What is the best way to record a 4 second loop on this pedal?

  • @mrBassArte

    Hi, a couple of questions about secondary knobs function. For example... When i turn knobs in secondary mode, does this changed settings remain in the standard mode when i return to it or just stay in that secondary mode? I ask this because of chance to ruin or screw up default settings in standard mode with messing in secondary, without memory how it was before messing with controls in secondary mode. Further more, does the pedal memorize the knob position of the settings in the secondary mode when you return to it later, or behave in „one time only“ manner? To be more specific, when turn knobs in some way in the secondary mode, then return to normal, turn the knobs in a different position, then return to secondary, the sound remains like I leave it before returning to normal mode or apply automatically the new position of knobs, which I change in mean time, to sound? Both questions are about same thing with different approach. And one more thing ... Does pedal change, in any way, original, dry sound of an instrument when engaged? I mean both on first stroke (first note or chord than you strike) and delayed, repeated one? Or there are no changes in continuity, tone of sound, delayed or not? Apologize for so mush data and questioning. Please help. Thx in advance!

    It saves everything, as long as you don't move the knob after leaving secondary mode.

    I have to say one more thing. If your viewers are looking for a digital delay, I recommend TC Electronic's Alter Ego. It's $99 and I think sounds better than the Canyon. Darker and easier. I think the Canyon is too crispy. And the Alter Ego has some great echo emulations like the Thomas Organ thing that is very weird, but sounds great with tremolo etc.

    MrHmiko In looper mode you cannot use any other delays. So dry signal only.

    Hey JJ I know the Canyon is a digital emulation so it won't be perfect, but in your opinion how close does this come to a real DMM? Thanks!

  • @JJoftheT

    @JJoftheT

    David Hall It does a certain type of DMM sound very well. Close enough to not have to buy a DMM in my humble opinion. Just doesn’t add up for a 10% difference.

    Thanks for the review. It's very helpful. This thing does more than I want a single pedal to do. All of the hold this down for X seconds and wait for this color blah blah blah just kills me. It stifles my creativity when recording and makes selections difficult when live. I'm sure others will disagree. I'm just saying it's not for me.

    Thomas Kirby Honestly, I'd rather have a pedal that does just one thing really well, too. That's why I won't part with my Carbon Copy. But from a marketing point of view, this is a great product!

    Nice feature that I can use it as a reverb jusb by rolling out the feedback. But can I use it as a POG by doing the same in the octave mode?

  • @JJoftheT

    @JJoftheT

    6 жыл бұрын

    Pedro Vieira You could by turning the mix to fully wet... BUT: you will get the cascading thing and not simply the three voices a POG gives you.

  • @arpadrosta8006

    Multi, shimmer and octave make this pedal worth it entirely. Especially multi with the volume swells and octave. The octave function is definitely underrated, very magical and fairytale like. I have 2 and i use one for octave/multi and one for shimmer

    Anthony Bagarozza The external tap tempo input is a winner if you stack delays to create multi tap patterns using an external, dual output tap switch.
