I have a Mocca E and after 2months I am glad I chose this model. It drives superbly, is comfortable and all round visibility is good. There are afew things which are annoying. First thing is the use of the shiny plastic in the front, forever cleaning it. Another thing is the lack of space in the boot. Once you have charged the car the charging lead takes up a lot of the available space. I feel that the front seat belts should be adjustable for height is another annoying point. Ther is no 12 volt supply point in the rear of the vehicle, this is very useful for drivers when camping or for a cool box on a day out. I had a Grandland X before this Mocca and it had rear view mirrors which tilted down when reverse is selected, a extremely useful thing to have when reversing in a very tight spot. Not essential I know but being disabled I found it helpful. Over all I am pleased with my choice and for those who like a bit of Vip when pulling away or entering a motorway from the access lane the Sport mode is great.

I have had 1 of these for a few days now. and my 60mph 54 mile drive suggests 179 mile range. That is in eco with B on. Driving at 70 does destroy the range, but it was the same in the id3 demo I had for half a day. If you can accept driving at 55 - 60mph on the motorway and drive smoothly 170 - 180+ is easily doable in fine weather. Don't get me wrong i would prefer an id3 but I don't want to wait 15 months for one :-)

I / we only do a few 'long distance' journeys a year as a family, so the reduced motorway mileage wouldn't bother me. Still rocking 2 x Diesel's, both doing 55mpg. Main problem is our less than 8k (combined!) annual miles. Replacing our main vehicle (2nd hand but full spec Nissan Qashqai) with an SUV EV wouldn't get anywhere near to saving money, in fact even the MG ZS (tall family) would end up costing us an extra £300-400pm.

So we have had a petrol automatic Mokka for 12 months. So the lane control is a pain. Getting in the back is another issue. So kids will be ok but if your an adult you will have issues getting in and out. We have the keyless entry. We have given up on this as it is so temperamental. Then one big issue is when we go to open the car with the key fob. We find the car will not open. The key fob stops working. So we have a trick now to get round this. We have to open and close the boot. Which I am guessing because we have keyless entry it allows us to do this. Then the key fob comes back to life. We can now open the car with the key fob. The car has been back 7 times to the dealer. Still not fixed.

Wow. That is an absolute pain. The only issues I’ve had. A couple of times the keyless entry hasn’t worked. But it let me open the boot. Then it let me open the doors. Very recently access to the charging point is sticking. I need to stick something in to pop it open. That’s annoying. I’ve seen quite a bit online about the door lock issue. Think that is happening to all of them. Last I heard was it was a software issue and they were working on an update. Hopefully be sorted soon.

My wife has an identical white SRI NAV Premium Mokka E, and we have found that it, probably like all Stellantis EVs, stubbornly refuses to let a home smart charger do it's job of controlling the EV charging. Instead of that the Mokka E has a "Delayed Start Charging" function built in which must be used to align the charging with a cheap rate electricity tariff. If you want to look after your EV lithium-ion battery it is common knowledge that operating within the 20%-80% start of charge is best, limiting charging to 100% to only when necessary when a very long journey is about to be done. For the rest of the time unfortunately for some reason there isn't an "End charging" option, therefore charging will always proceed to 100% unless manually stopped by unlocking the doors and unplugging etc. Obviously if you don't care about the longevity of your battery then keep charging it to 100%, even when it's not necessary. Hope this helps.

That’s impressive. I do nearly all of my charging at home now. Much cheaper and nice and easy. Charge whilst sleeping. 😀

Why do you need access to mobile phone if uts connected to your car.you should not be touching your monle whilst driving so mine sits in arm rest door pocket or on the charger pad I do not need to see my mobile phone .

I like how it looks 😂Obviously this car has everything on screen. Last one I had didn’t so used the phone as a satnav then. Now I’ve just got used to it being there. Also I would keep leaving it in the car if it was out of sight.

@@GillyBikes Hi Gilly, how much do you pay per kWh? My rate is £0.40 per kWh so if battery has 50kWh then full charge going to cost me £20? Am I right?

@@GillyBikes I'm still confused, buy mokka or not. Currently I've got focus mk3 fl 2.0 diesel about 48mpg. I do about 90 miles weekly to work by motorway...

If your doing loads of motorway I would stick with the diesel. The range is really reduced if your motorway driving.

It wouldn’t make much difference. I always put dash cams in my cars now. To many idiot drivers out there.
