This is the literally definition of "how to troll" but in music form. The look on your faces when the beat dropped was priceless 😂

The 10 seconds of hair fixing after the headbanging sesh was by far the best part of the reaction!

I watched a lot of reactions to that song, you have to be German or at least know German and be somewhat familiar with the German Schlager scene to actually get what a meme this is. All these people think Schlager is just german pop music, it's not. Schlager is a genre which is generally made fun of as being music for either drunk people, old people or well, let's just say rather simple minded people from rural areas. (And I would dare to say the stereotype is somewhat true.) The references to Schlager artists, Michael Wendler in particular, in the video, in the way the melody and the chord structure work and even in the lyrics are just hilarious. The first part literally sounds like the stereotypical, generic Schlager Song your grandma would listen to.

Electric Callboy is doing the "undoable" with their music - knowing that you know why so many people in Germany like them. With their music you can say "Fuck Schlager" to the Schlager-lovers ... the one thing happened here in this video is exactly what some people would like to see (no pun intended): Every Schlager (we call it like that) combo being ripped of by zombies (or anyone else) ;)

Hardest I have laughed at one of your videos in a while. The combo of the utter chaos of the song, your reactions to the pig squeals and then Johnny fixing his wig for 13 seconds at the end… amazing.

As a german person it is sooooo funny to watch all the reaction videos from non-german youtubers! The first part of the video is a homage to Germany's most hated Schlager Icon called Michael Wendler. He has a song called "Egal" ( engl. whatever) and it went viral in Germany and everyone is making fun of it - also the Callboys now! Check it out if you want some context. It is just hilarious! Also Mia-Julia is a Schlager Icon especially on the spanish island Mallorca. Mallorca is full of germans and there is a street called "Schinkenstrasse" (bacon street) and an establishement on it with the name "Bierkönig" (beer king) where all these Schlager Icons sing and throw a big party. Hope I could give you some understanding of this brilliant typical german music video!

I read a comment that said it's maybe a reaction of being rejected from ESC which was justified with that their music wouldn't ne suitable for radio. So they chose the worst radio suitable genre and destroyed it in the end. 😂 Even the first half of the video is making fun of Schlager. As Schlager usually contains kitschy lyrics, they completely changed that with mean lyrics. All this together is genius. But unfortunately the song won't make it to my playlist 'cause for me (personally) Schlager is hell on earth! 😄

This won't make it to my playlist because I don't know German and can't scream like Kevin, but I do not regret watching the video because this was amazing. I do agree with the mentality that this is their way of telling Eurovision "We're more than capable of making the radio-friendly music you want, but that music can die" lol.

And fair enough! Eurovision was getting kind of played out and boring by the early 2000s already, and its 2023 now and just more of the same cheesy, generic stuff. Isn't it more about their costumes and choreography than the actual songs, anyway? The progressive genius of Electric Callboy is completely lost on an institution as formulaic as Eurovision. In a way, it's actually a good thing they didn't get accepted

Classic Electric Callboy, lol. Make songs in styles people hate, but they can't stop listening. I hated music that included the style Kevin uses, but since finding EC last year my musical library has expanded so much with other bands that include a mixture of screams and comedy.
