We should rejoice at the fact that God Almighty chose us elected us and predestined us to be sons through Jesus Christ we should rejoice and be glad I know I am and am thrilled and love the fact that God would choose me and make me his son I’m glad to have it I’m glad to know it and I am in agreement with what God says and those who reject it I pray their eyes be opened to it it’s the truth

so how can you hold someone responsible and send them to hell simply because they were not chosen? How is that fair, sovereign or righteous?

@@online_now6834 because we are all guilty of sin and guilty we are and it’s because of Gods goodness that anybody would be saved anyone is elected and another thing is we are not righteous and people don’t see themselves as fallen or imperfect. To ask such a question shows that you don’t see your depravity and u also don’t see Gods perfection. To make an accusation against God like that you show your not saved because you accuse God sovereignty righteousness and fairness and you are most likely a reprobate. Fear the Lord Jesus Christ. There is forgiveness of sins

All these false heretical fake churches that teach that men can choose God and play religion are going to stand before the Master and give an account for the false things they taught. I went to one for years I know what’s taught. The Bible is clear on election and predestined by God and those who will be saved and who will not it’s the theme of the Bible and it’s Gods way He is in charge and in control not mankind we are but clay, does a lump of clay say to us why are you making me into a cup or does it say what it wants no, well we are the clay. Bow to Gods will and to His word and stop listening to the liars in these fake churches

Predestination is not real, divine intervention is. Keep doing research and diving into the teachings of both the old and new testament and this entire ideal with shatter. To say you will go to heaven is to state you are God, which is blasphemy. You are not a saint, and your comment further proves to me and others that you are a bearer of bad fruit. So thankful to find these sermons! I love Christ and He is my savior!

This sermon is real Christianity, this is pure GODLY teaching....if this man was alive today to see the state of the American Christian Church, or worse the state of the English Prostetant teaching in the UK today, he would be horrified. The toxic hypergrace movements, the entitlement where church is more of an entertainment rather a place of holy worship. The lifestyles of Christians embracing the things of the world, while claiming to be saved. The ungodly teachings of a waterdown gospel and Jesus, the leaders of the church aligning with worldy teachings of transgender, climate change, social justice and love wins. The arrogance of having GOD serve us, and removing the Fear of the Lord. We are truly living on borrowed time, bc we are way over due for GODs wrath to finally put an end to this madness.

It amazes me that we argue truth, far more than we share testimony. I struggle with the latter constantly. And O, how I know, I have been saved! Thank You King Jesus!

According to Matthew 28, we are to "Make Disciples" (by witnessing and sharing our testimonies), "Baptize them," and "Teach them everything the Lord has commanded" (Teaching Biblical truth and doctrines over and over). That's the Christian's mandate while on earth. All three are important.

The beauty of it chokes me up!

We live in a world full of a mountain of cares and concerns but this and other sermons from Spurgeon give me peace. New questions are not being asked. New concerns do not exist. The more I experience and understand the more I see This life as nothing more than a little bit of history repeating, which is comforting. There truly is nothing new Under the Sun. Eccl 12:3 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. If you understand this, You can go about your day in peace, and that's all you need to know.

Wait a minute now!! He has made it more clear then anyone I’ve heard in 25 years. I’m good with if you don’t desire it then your not elected. Because I struggle but hate sin. I want God and holly ness so I must be elect . Might sound selfish but I do not want hell!!!

Great insight into truth

At the time of Spurgeon, the equipment existed to voice-record speakers, but no-one thought to record Spurgeon...

Does anyone know who the narrator is? He is a great speaker.

NIV 1984 edition.

I don’t think I am of elect. I believe this doctrine. But I agree it is hard, that no matter how much I want to be saved I can’t be. For those that aren’t saved, it’s understandable why we don’t want to believe it. But it is clearly taught in scripture.

Non-elect persons would not normally. care about God's election. The fact that you do is a good sign. You seem to understand that only the elect will enter heaven. You must continue to seek after Christ. Keep reading the New Testament and begging God to save you. We can't save ourselves, for only God can save someone. He has a day and hour chosen for each of the elect to come to Him. Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict you of your sins, and keep begging Him to save you. Repent of your sins, and Believe that Jesus Christ is who He Claims to be. Cry out for Mercy! God loves to Save those who seek Him. Keep reading your Bible each day, focusing on the Person of Jesus Christ.

If you are elect, you are saved. Period. It was decided in eternity past. You've been directed to the truth of it in scripture by the Holy Spirit, and compelled to believe its truth by that same Holy Spirit who is given to be our guide and comforter. Stop doubting and seeking. Salvation is yours. Start studying and learning the precious Word of God. Your doubting is foolish as it goes against the very truth of His Word!
