It could be an aspect of maturity tbh. When you're older, you're humble enough to know youre often wrong about things and if you exercise patience and try to pay attention to details, you might notice interesting things you previously didn't. When you're young, you're kind of a blockheaded moron with no patience who puts a wall up as soon as something starts going in a direction you're uncomfortable with.

Funny enough, when these "Elders" were younger their parents said the same thing about Alice Cooper, Kiss and Ozzy. The cycle continues today and ALWAYS will. We as humans gravitate to what we enjoyed as teens. I can't speak for ALL but I even enjoy the music my parent's loved from the 70's and 80's and even music from my Grandparent's generation (DooWop Days).

i saw them live a few months back and the best parts of the whole show were seeing clown get all irritated when tortilla man would come over to his drums and bug him lmao. and when tortilla man decided to go down to the stage and pick up a stage railing and wave it above his head. man kept the whole show alive. IK there are lot of people out there who hv had a very tough life, hv gone through a lot, are going through a lot it can be anything drug or alcohol addiction, personal demons, troubled childhood, depression, family issues, miserable unsuccessful life, or anything their mind becomes little numb, the frequency of the brain gets high and that's where Slipknot helps u the most

I remember seeing them live at soundwave in Adelaide, Slayer played the same day, there was a 78 year old lady that was in the pit for both bands along with a 87 year old man who was sitting on his walker bopping away with his kids,grand kids and great grand kids (12 people from over 4 generations). \m/

I just came here after watching gen z react to the same vids. The fact that they these beautiful elders can have better respect for slip than gen z is crazy to me

I am a teen( 16 yo) and hv been really influenced to hear to rock and metal since I was 7. Gonna say I really thank my bro for this. Interested to see how people my age and younger generation react to this ( Didn't really expect them to like'em )

Music always don't have to be calm and heartwarming. Sometimes it represent the feelings we have to out rage. It is good thing to say a curse word or scream at or yell at someone instead of hurting somebody ..

I dont think people understand how much talent is needed for this

I love heavy metal all my life.I am 53 now but still listen best music.Slipknot is one of my favorite bands.🤘🤘🤘

I respect these older folks for participating. The one in the yellow sweater seemed to hate it at first. Then she said she’d down a couple aspirin and go to a concert. LOL! 👍🏻 I agree with cowboy hat that it’s “dark material”. This got more positive reaction than I expected. Mr. Black suit knows his Metal. 👍🏻

i dont think many people can imagine me listening to rock/metal and i do listen to lots of indie but whenever the odd metal song comes on im always wondering what other people are listening to around me and hoping they cant hear my music haha cause im just sitting there all relaxed and then listening to really thrashy music and then something soft will come on afterwards, and it makes me laugh 😂
