Sure, not nearly as much as 1000 years in real time, but there was no rule of 2, the sith were thought to be dead (and it's species driven to extinction) and the republic was nearly destroyed. Not a single building on coruscant that weve seen in the film's existed, and Darth Bane was JUST about to take power

I must say I feel conflicted about Solitude. On the one side it is very recognisable, but on the it looks almost too recognisable. I'm not sure if it feels faithfull to the original or like a lazy reskin.

@@jackjohnson6044 I understand what you mean. But at the same time if they'd changed it to much we'd be torn. Plus, Solitude is built on a very limited area (that is totally going to fall into the sea someday) so there's only so much it could have changed. They probably could have changed things up a little bit more, but buildings would have also made to last much longer and they would have had much less of a "just tear it down and start over" mentally because of how long of a process that would be to do by hand. Maybe it'll be better in person. It's Morthal that really should be more different. Especially because their buildings are made of wood not stone.

@@buttoxchewy7091 I am not talking about it being high or low res. I am talking about overall design of the buildings. I feel the same way about Whiterun in Skyrim. Besides Dragons reach, all of Whiterun looks like a pretty boring budgeted version of a Rohan town. And this comes from someone who is biased torwards norse styles. Oblivion who came even earlier, i think did a better job at designing towns than Skyrim. But that is just my opinion.

I can’t wait for them to finally introduce Winterhold so we can see what the city looked like before the collapse, also I’d love to climb the throat of the World mainly to see if Luke’s best bud is there 😜

Yeah they will, they said their plan was to eventually fill out the entire map and it’s part of the map so it wouldn’t make sense not to do it. Plus I’m pretty sure there’s enough people out there who want it to happen so they’ll definitely make money from it.

It won't feel as annoyingly big as blackreach in Skyrim though, because there will be fast travel within Blackreach and all sorts of quests along the way.

Even the elves? Nords always call you little elf when you walk past them in Skyrim. It's annoying. Nord: "What do you want, little elf?" Elf PC: "To punch you in the face if you don't stop calling me that. Assuming I can reach it."

SterlingPhoenix That’s actually not true. High elves are the tallest race, and Wood Elves are the shortest. Each other race falls somewhere in between. (At least in regular Skyrim, I don’t know about VR.)

That's the problem with magic, no real engineering or scientific progress, look at Harry Potter's world, wizards without a clue bout real chemistry or electrics

Love to see the dragon walls and the idea that you set foot in locations 1000 years before you set foot there

1) Greymoor keep reminds me off Dimhollow crypt where Serena was kept... wouldn't be surprised if it was the same place, just seperated by a gave in after 1000 years. 2) Pretty sure I had a dream about a game that had that exact vampire castle in years ago.

I'd consider getting this if they have all the skyrim bugs.

Not necessarily the devs stated she was sealed away between the second and third empires, which puts it at somepoint around eso's time, or maybe hundreds of years before, or maybe hundreds after

BlueBoo that’s bc it’s not really an area you’re meant to play in but being able to swim around in any lake or sea you want is nevertheless a great experience much better than dumbly swimming around on top of the water and randomly dying out of bounds why can’t I swim to a different zone that’d be cool when I get to the edge of the Iliac bay zone in daggerfall I load into the Iliac bay in hammerfell and can swim their they just really fucked up a lot of the games systems making it feel like a shitty mmo that’s not even set place in the tes universe and it doesn’t even feel like the big open world it’s meant to be due to their shitty level design and their horrifically boring city design boring ai and then weirdly highlighting everything and just generally somehow making the feel of the environment like you’re not really there Rant over

@@stockphotowhiteguy11 you swim out of skyrims map you die as well though. There is not one enjoyable moment about swimming underwater in Skyrim, let alone 99% of games. The mechanics of it is crap and that's why alot of games avoid it completely. I agree with some of your rant though haha

BlueBoo yeah I’d agree the swimming mechanic isn’t especially interesting but it functions you feel free to move in any direction a lot more and you don’t randomly die without warning when swimming, like pretty sure I’ve not even managed to get to the edge of the map at least not in vanilla I just think it gives this feel, I really do wish eso would overhaul itself and make it the elder scrolls version of a fallout 76 that actually works instead

I mean you always could just use the bowl glitch. Remember the Dwemer elevators you find all across Skyrim? You can glitch yourself in them from the outside. And one directly leads to the tower with the elder scroll.

In the trailer the vampire throne hall thing reminded me so much of Movarth’s lair, especially considering it’s right by Morthal.

I remember these, and I'm still playing Skyrim, to this day. Liked and enjoyed watching this.

this is soooooo cool. The Vampire Castle underground looks amazing. And then Shadowgreen Cavern was one of my favorite locations in Skyrim. And Chillwind depths too!!! This update is adding so much cool content to ESO, this is awesome.

Thanks for the entertaining and informative video. I can't wait to play. While you were playing, it was pretty cool seeing the difference between Skyrim and ESO graphics. I'll be playing 3rd person though. Only play first if I need to focus on certain details.

Welp. That backfired

They recreated Morrowind zones and feel so brilliantly in ESO and now we have another look at Skyrim. So cool!

It’s really cool to see Skyrim so long ago, it’s like Farcry 5 vs Farcry new dawn, it’s a familiar area but seeing how it has changed is so damn interesting

One thing has changed in Solitude is that the throne in the blue Palace is now actually centered unlike in Skyrim which is horrifically aligned in left.

I don't play ESO but I have a lore question for those who play, is there any reference to the Volkihar vampire clan in this expansion? If I remember correctly in Skyrim they say their clan pre-dates the Empire so at least some of them should be alive during this expansion.

ZOS confirmed that Harkon and his clan specifically won't be appearing as they have to still be alive by the Fourth Era, but aside from that we don't really know much just yet. I imagine the writers will have slipped in some kind of reference to the Volkihar, whether in lorebooks or some throwaway dialogue, but we won't really know until the chapter goes live.

Serana is stated to have been sealed away between the second and third empires by the devs which is the time of eso, however it is also a 800 year period so she might have long since been sealed away or not even been born yet.

@@arradon2825 if you are a big fan of lore i'd definetely recommend it! the feel is still there and some zones offers even better story than Skyrim imo (example: Rivenspire). The way NPCs behave is also pretty much the same (as in they remember you from doing favors for them and can ask them later or even met them later in another zone and refer to your past deeds)

I’m really expecting TES 6 to also have Skyrim in it too

Given a lot of Skyrim like around whiterun is so open, what stops you from exploring the rest of the game? Is it just an invisible wall or is there new mountains and landscape?

I've not been back to ESO for a while. I think I've missed a couple of expansions while playing other games, so It looks like I've got plenty to get into when I go back and take a look at what's new.

So the Skyrim mod that adds wayshrines to world now makes sense lol.

Nothing too big, but kudos for the fact that someone use Argonian in Elder Scrolls. Always a pleasing sight to see fellow Argonian :D

Argonians and Khajiit are the best. Beast races rule. All I need now is a bear race and I’ll be in Elder Scrolls heaven.

@@michaeljenner2325 There is a mod that add a playable bear race, it's CAN, crime against nature. It's on skyrim special edition too. It's in the nexus.

Been playing the ESO free trial a little bit, but now I just want to go back and play Skyrim *yet again*.

Yeah it looks really nice. I'm leveling up a character now to have at least one max level when this comes out. :)

And! everybody wait that expansion for roaming original skyrim with Just higher graphics but they forget first skyrim is already in game (Bleakrock Isle - Eastmarch - The Rift) second games are set on diffrent ERAs so most of players didnt know it and they hoped to see 1:1 original skyrim map with only improved graphics and now everybody start talking about old skyrim map was better..guys skyrim is old but realy realy old tamriel is normaly much more diffrent in eso.. Timelines: The Elder Scrolls : Online 2E 283 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 4E 201

I like that Solitude is still pretty much the same because as it's been said in books throughout the two games, there has never really been a full assault on Solitude before the dragonborn and the stormcloaks, if that is the canon ending

Winterhold should be above Windhelm … no idea why Skyrim in ESO ends with Windhelm at the top.

Winterhold won't have been destroyed yet. That happened in 4E122, only 79 years before the events of Skyrim. ESO is more like 950 years before Skyrim.

ESO version skyrim looks so good i wish remastered version improved lighting and texture on this base of level. shame it barely looked different from the original

Skyrim is just so nice to look at, just the view from the throat of the world is so amazing

Oh, that's a fun video-idea. How about doing that with some other ESO location and/or other TES games?

The start of the game is pretty shit tbh but once you get a few characters to champion and you start to learn the game and stuff more its really good and a massive time sink

Hopefully this year's "E3" or Bethesda-land's presentation we'll get to see at the very least a gameplay trailer for Starfield and maybe a cinematic trailer for ES6. Bethesda has nothing else to announce this year so hopefully that's the case.

Ok, so I have a question not related to the video but I really don't know where to ask and I haven't found anything online about it. I bought The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind a while back. Does it mean I only have access to Morrowind, or can I travel between provinces? Is it just like an expansion, or is it the regular game plus the Morrowind expansion?

There is actually lore about an attack that caused some buildings to collapse. I think it was because of the wolf queen
