I mean, it's bugged and applies the buff of your right hand weapon atop of dealing good madness by itself. So if you take Eclipse Shotel into your right hand, buff it with the L2 and then use the torch's L2... It is, in fact, powerful. Not even a meme, Nanaya's Torch can be scary even without glitch abuse.

The frost buildup isn't too bad, not like the instant bleed of one half of the spinning gravity thrust lol

12:40 - you can tell when people don't read the patch notes. Dual wielding bleed infused twinblades does LESS bleed build-up than a single twinblade. A single twinblade running R2 is the way to go if that's your thing.

I think the lizard great sword is worth looking into soonish. Not only does it have the claymore 2H R2 but that R2 also shoots out a crossbow style bolt, so you could do something pretty interesting with range punishes and if you land counter hits I'm sure it'll really hurt

Many FS games have a cleaver-type weapon that enemies or you can use a special attack where the blade is held horizontally so that the entire edge of the weapon can be slammed towards the ground. This seems like a weapon built entirely around that mechanic.

The lizard greatsword has the Claymore R2 but it also fires out a little tongue! Ideal for roll catching.

Yo chase! Been loving the invasion-only vids and all your content since the dlc came out. I would love to see classic weapon showcase-style vids of the new weapons - duels and then the invasions. But I'm happy either way~

You should try the Smithscript Shield. When you wield a weapon with Royal Knight's Resolve in your right hand and the mentioned shield in your left, when activating RSS, it somehow gets applied on that shield as well. And guess what: RKR on the shield lasts as long as you don't hit with your weapon. Combined with the Discus Hurl Ash of War, it's insanely cursed and completely broken. I works with basically every buff applied to main hand but I found that this is the most unfair one. Well, apart from Ecplise Shotel

@@yujin_sumeragi The more players use that messed up stuff the sooner Fromsoft will patch it. Leave it unknown and you’ll end up having broken stuff like Serpent Hunter invisible one shot which is this a thing.

This is my favorite new weapon in the DLC! Ayyyy! Boss was also the hardest (aside from the last one) for me, was truly a melt or be melted fight

I got a Banished Knights Greatsword with chilling mist and it works wonders, i understand why you love the weapon so much, thanks for getting me into PvP!

His pvp skills are too good to be a hacker.. people that hack generally suck so bad they need to resort to hacks.

You gotta give the deathknights greataxe a shot. Great damage, great movement, and a super versatile ashe of war. You can blinkbolt into a really powerful nuke by casting it a second time, or you can cancel it into a light or a heavy attack to get 3 different timings off 1 attack. The blinkbolt portion also gives s. So when someone is locks themselves into casting an ash of war or spell you can dash through it and then follow up with your own big hit.

That cleaver looks like an amazing back scratcher

Obviously the DLC weapons will and should receive priority, but it'd be interesting to see you check out bastard's stars in some capacity since flails got the speed boost. Always been a fun invasion weapon for me

Oh chase! I was trying out the Ledas Light Greatsword testing it against the perfumers and the ash removes buffs from people, maybe not the best until the pvp poise damage values are fixed for all the new weapon classes (they have pre patch 1.10 poise damage) but definitely good in certain situations!

Hey Chase I really enjoyed your elden ring videos. I recommend briar gauntlets for your armor set. They can sometimes stagger enemies when you dodge their attack. It may even knock them off the air during a jump attack.

It’s been mentioned, but hey, it’s Voldo! Wouldn’t mind seeing the deflect tear get a run. That looks like a heap of fun. Bonus points for using the fancy guard counter on the black steel greathammer. Catch ya next time!

love the vids man. I just made an ancient meteoric ore greatsword build after watching your video on it.

The Falix blades are one of my fav for the dlc. Been using them alot in pvp and you can use the ash of war to gain a lot of ground or get away or even go for 1 guy with half the animation buy then turn around on a different guy to finish the animation

When you do go to use the Milady try out raptors of the mist on it. I have found that people aggress the slow move set more when played slightly passively or the rely on good rolling but raptors effectively uses it's stabbing light to do work. When you hit attack, attack, attack.

Smithscript weapons get crazy intelligence and faith scaling (magic/flame art/sacred). For some reason those infusions scale both the physical and elemental damage. For reference, a +25 magic backhand blade at 80 int gets 671 damage, and a +25 magic smithscript cirque at 80 int gets 834 damage. Their throwing attacks are also buffed with the smithing talisman.

Just a quick fun fact: The thrusting shields actually have blocking and I-frames WHILE attacking. I highly recommend you give them a spin.

Ngl when I found this boss and its weapon, I didn’t expect that it was a great axe lol. It seemed way more like curved greatsword but as someone who loves greataxes and the boss itself…this weapon is a treat

You can actually chain the light version of the ash into the heavy version so long as you have stamina and FP. I got a lot of people to fall for it thinking I was done after a few light swings then absolutely crushed their HP when they tried to close the distance and I used the hyper armor of the heavy version of the ash in invasions and the colosseum!

Have you considered cutting some of these fights down to use as shorts content? I would love to be able to create a collection of some of my favorite individual fights
