bloodfiends arm isnt really overpowered i think. when you compare how slow it is and the recovery of the heavy attack + it has low ar for a colossal it has a lot of downsides compared to lots of weapon arts that nuke people

that thing is fucking gnarly - was watching ongbal do a boss and the fully charged r2 was double hitting because the projectile and sword are separate hits but impact simultaneously at melee. crazy damage potential

fyi, drumsticks are not thighs. They're calves. The thigh isn't really visible under the feathers on a living chicken, but it's basically a rectangle

Don’t they nerf your health in pvp like this? Because I invaded my friend and im max lvl and he’s like lvl 250 or 300 but he still does damage to me like I’m lvl 200 with little vigor lol

No. If you coop with a level 20 @ level 700 your stats are lowered. Invasions have level brackets. At max level you literally cannot invade 250. I think 301 is the lowest actually possible.

3:08 Yes Chase, try out the Star-Lined Sword. It's my favorite DLC weapon so far. Do the L2 and then on the follow-up L2 delay it to roll catch. It's also got a couple true combos built into it so play around and test mix-ups with the L2s and R1s to see what combos with a friend before invading so you know what you're doing.

Star lines major setback is it has shit hyperarmor. Once you use the ash your forced into a double hit animation. I honestly dont rate it that highly.

@@CaptainNinglethat fast heavy sometimes catch you off guard plus it’s a colossal so anyone else that is playing with a weapon that doesn’t have that much poise damage like a katana then you will get basically one shotted because he’ll just poise through your hits

Sacred Bloody Flesh offers a 7% attack power boost and gives another 7% attack power when blood loss occurs, would be good on this build.

When you see a phantom casually putting on the scarab hat to heal slightly more while you're chasing them around, you know you're gonna have a bad time...

This weapon is comedy GOLD. The heavy bonk splash hit and the burst of bleed damage in their health followed by the immediate panic rolling away. It’s like a Tom and Jerry cartoon episode 😂

This thing got me through hogrider and now I’m never taking it off

He picks the best looking invasions with the best outcomes for himself, mostly where he’s fighting people who are trying to co-op without proper PvP builds. I’m sure he gets wrecked plenty offscreen…

I'd love to use Hefty Pots but I'm not farming and backing up saves just to use them every few invasions/dungeons. Really wish they just gave us bells to unlock unlimited crafting material, consumables and arrows/bolts.

I call it THE BOSS KILLER! 😂

Watching your vids, as an int Caster, I finally switched my stats so I would have 60 Vigor. It's surprising how many invaders leave after hitting me with a combo, and I walk out alive, only to deal more to them in less hits. It's like... HP on a Caster is a scary thing... 🤔

Suggestion: Different video themes for certain days of the week to mix things up! Suboptimal Sunday, for builds or weapons that just aren't very good. Monster Monday, for cosplay builds of enemies. Tactical Tuesday, for more focus on teaching invasion strategy/tactics. etc

instead of using exalted flesh on bleed builds, id try out sacred bloody flesh, as it provides a physical damage boost, then a extra lord of bloods exultation effect on bleed.

The Black Steel Greathammer is pretty solid as a Sacred weapon due to the innate Faith scaling/Holy damage, obligatory Golden Land as well. Greatsword of Damnation is also a solid Str/Faith option. The Sunflower though: massive AR, strike damage, and has 2 follow-ups to the aow, and it's a colossal so you get good hyperarmor and trades. Vagabond can do 60/23/23/25/22/9/60/7 for example and not only do you get extremely good weapon variety and good damage on all the Faith stuff, but Lord's Heal restores about 1000 HP with the Gravel Seal which gets a respectable 282 scaling which then buffs Dragon Cult spells by 15% for free, by stacking a second one that's effectively 373 scaling which for reference at 80 Faith the Erdtree Seal has 353. I honestly decided on 60 pretty arbitrarily and turns out I get exactlly the right stats: 23 Mind for example is something I always try to hit since that's 137 FP and Golden Vow(47), Blessing of the Erdtree(60), *insert greater barrier of choice here*(30) equal that exactly

Man every single one of these weapons you've showcased so far are absolutely crazy damage. I love this so much...

Aaah, the sweet sight of first-month Souls balance, I want to see what Blood Friend could do with quickstep? In fact, I wonder what the most broken on-release weapon was? There have been some extremely broken day 1 weapons, but Elden Ring might be challenging some of them for the title.

Hey Chase, Thiollier’s hidden needle is a great weapon to follow up from a sleep proc. I got it to deal around 1000 dmg with Alexander’s shard and St Trina’s talisman together

There's a LOT of good weapons in the dlc, but the rememberance weapons are my favourites (anime movesets are very fun)

Their are an ok number of weapons, the biggest gain is to the special headgear, with unique effects.

Try and use Braggart's roar on it and maintain the bleed. Braggart's roar tripples any status effect when you fully charge an r2 lol

This is probably the weapon that I would not consider broken. There are a bunch of broken things in the dlc, this is just really good.

Id love to see a video on the thrusting shields. Cool movesets with blocking heavies. They get access to both shield and a bunch of weapon ashes of war. If you have it in the left hand with a weapon aow it won't override your right hand's aow. Carian thrusting shield offhand plus milady main hand makes for a fun sword and board build that can 2 hand the shield to turtle up.

Bearer of the torch Seek madness. Unhiged, more feary madness. Seek the host, that is the only way. Lest the wizards swallow you whole... As it has so many others.

Hey Chase, been enjoying your content for a while now. Something I'd love to know is how you set up your controller layout and your technique (if you use claw grip or controller paddles, etc) for doing hard swaps and quick menuing. Seems to be an essential skill for invasions. Keep it up mate!

i actually have the default ps5 controls, i dont claw unless you see me running while im in my menu, then i quickly swap my right hand to a strange claw position. i use the index finger to hit the menu button, while my thumb holds O with the right have of it and hits x with the left half to confirm my item changes lol. My left hand while doing this is in the standard claw position.

The chunky chicken wing is an absolute menace.

I had one of these drop yesterday. I can't wait to put it on Mushroom Tip, my RL 200 STR/ARC. He runs blood affinity poison mist on his weapons and has mushroom crown and kindred of rot's exultation. Adding this weapon with poison mist, an offhand poison hand (which I'm guessing will stack with the exultation and mushroom crown) and the two handed sword talisman... not to mention they added a consumable like exalted flesh that buffs your attack when you proc bleed... I think Mushroom Tip won the DLC.

the fact that you have the slightest chance of getting banned as you make these builds from the dlc, the "instant kill" perfume bottles, the "instant build" colossal, it's been crazy

Soooo… another silly idea for you to try with this weapon is Poison Infused Scarlet Flower Blooms Twice. Not sure why a hunk of barbecue chicken leg can have that ash, but it can.

I was using that ash blood infused when I beat the Final Boss for the 1st time. Its kinda good. Has decent rot buildup

I personally love the smithscript hammer infuse it with frost or bleed and you can cause buildup whenever from whatever range and when up close the charged heavy hits multiple times and fairly hard plus the throw to hit them and anyone behind them

This thing carried me through that final boss fight. Charged heavy spam. Oh and Thrusting Shield build please.

It will never not be funny that an ugly hammer does the most bleed buildup.

Chase, if you want to take this even further you can. Use bleed infusion with the poison mist ash of war. Then wear the poison gloves from Belurar tower in your offhand, and the rot exultation talisman. If you want extra overkill use the mushroom crown or Varre mask too. Proc both bleed and poison and absolutely skyrocket your damage

You gotta try the Obsidian lamina, the aow follow-ups are awesome❤

I love the warp axe, because stormcaller can out poise it to be a killjoy lol

Yeah I struggled with Radahn for probably 70+ deaths until I discovered this weapon and then immediately beat him first try with it. Insane weapon

This was the first weapon i found on my str arc build and ive been using it the whole dlc so far

Bloodhounds fang was not everyones fav weapon. Its just objectively so massively good with its bonkers stats and being a somber you can put a weapon buff on despite having innate bleeding, that you couldnt possibly not put it in your backpocket... Just in case.

While I do love watching your videos, and love the fact that you aren't one of those hyper aggressive d-heads that gloats about every win, and that you are gracious in your victories, I would love to see a compilation of your losses :D

its actually crazy how many people are running either the standard rivers of blood cold katana build, or generic mage, like wtf theres so much more in this game

Chase you can walk around backstab the Messmer AOW when they go for the 2nd L2. It’s really easy to circle and mess up their aim even when locked on
