Yeah even I was taken aback by how amazing this fight actually was. Granted, you gotta go through a lot of steps to have every character involved which is doing every NPC quest while doing certain specific steps in some said quests. If you don’t do all the NPC quests, this fight won’t hit as hard which could hold it back for some people. But if you did everything you needed to do for this specific 3 on 5, this is probably the best NPC fight in any souls game. I can’t really think of any other NPC boss fight that felt this climactic, emotional, high stakes, hype, sadness, joy, etc. You talk with every one of these characters and they are all likeable in their own way and some fight with you or against you. And this music? One of the best OSTs in this game now. Even how the gank fight was handled was really solid because they don’t bring out everyone all at once which I appreciate. It gives you a chance to battle a 1v1 or 1v2 before bringing in your own NPC in. It’s like a top 5 fight in the DLC for me and I can’t believe I’m saying this for what is essentially a PvP NPC based gank fight. And we had the gank squad in DS2. My lord…

It can become a 3 vs 3. Kill Moore by doing his questline and say "stay sad forever" after u talk to him after the Miquella charm is broken. And by doing Hornsent questline and summoning him to fight messmer, they r all easy to do

Fromsoft knew how Gideon died mid dialogue so they disabled attacking while Leda was talking 😂

I adore Ansbach's dialogue here, he is probably my second favorite character in the dlc just because he feels like the lost nobility of Mohg back to take its vengence. An idea that maybe, just maybe, Mohg was not entirely a lunatic and was (perhaps slightly) more than the raving nightmare we saw as a boss.

If the fight extends a little you can hear this epic dialogue: Leda: “I can’t fathom to understand your reasons, how has it come to this?” Ansbach: “you and I, fighting, what a tragedy”.

Completing everyone's quest is basically mandatory for this fight. If you don't do that you won't get the full experience and the fight itself will be extremely tedious. But man is it worth it in the end

This is so fucking cool GODDAMN. Ansbach's line as he appears is great.

The voice actings are so good.

“For the birth of a new God, and the coming of a Lord!” This fight and the entire DLC was just peak fiction.

This quest felt like an Armored core battle, everyone had their own dialogues.

Elden ring : civil war...was peak

Never in my lifetime would I think Miyazaki would recreate the final mission of armored core for answer in a souls game but here we are.

Freja's line about you being the righteous lord of the Erdtree makes for a very cool concept. Technically - you're the boss in this fight. Leda has her squad to fight YOU and all the tricks and skills you bring.

Everything about this is so cool.. All of the npc quests lead to this moment, and there are unique dialogues for choices you have made..

I was fucking tearing up when fighting Moore, his line: “You and I fighting. A tragedy.” Was so damn sad, after I helped him put sadness behind him, too.

It’s cause the ds2 devs tried more cool new stuff. I don’t like ds2 but I really respect it for doing things like that. Playing Ds2 is like going to a 3 star restaurant with a great chill vibe, and the other games are like a 5 star restaurant where the whole table will stare at you if you make a joke

Man. Frejya is the only one who’s quest I missed out on completing. Ansbach was gone (after I gave him the scroll) before I found Frejya.

What a damn tragedy. Not ashamed to admit I ugly cried after this one.

this is one of the only fights you get complimented in aside from morgott talking crazy about flames, and killing malenia, its kinda nice, even if it all ends in death

The crazy part is this supports coop, you can go in with the 2 npcs and 2 friends making it a 5v5 shit was peak

Leda has immaculate fashion. I loved her

Probably my most favorite part in the whole DLC to be honest..

"This battle could not be for fitting, for the birth of new god, and the coming of a lord" The way she delivers this line feels so epic

this is the best gank/npc fight they've ever made, its so emotional and fun and powerful, the music made me start rethinking my actions and it was truly a wonderful fight

i've regretted not being able to finish ansbach and redmane freyja's questlines, its because i played the game completely blind and despite all of my exploration in the whole map i still managed to miss their questlines from the specimen storehouse

Can anyone tell me why is no one appearing in the fight? I went to leda's wrodfl but there was no one there i did'nt gave freya and ansbach the letter nad i killed hornsent before romania's fight.

The True Co-Op experience summed up in a bossfight. Truly a marvel this was.

How do you get everyone in that fight? I only got horsent on the 1st playthrough and only leda and dryleaf on the 2nd ( I killed horsent when he invaded before Romina )

It has to do with how you interact with them along the way. I got Hornsent, Dryleaf and Leda. If it was 5 enemies it would have been rough without summons. The only way was to kill Hornsent before Dry spawned, which would have been a lot easier now that I have more Scadu levels. And then I 1v2'd Dry and Leda.

What I would give to experience this again for the first time. Top 5 moments in all fromsoft games 😭

I don't know how we went from Halflight to this. This may honestly be my favourite DLC Boss. Never had so much emotions in a single fight and I can say that I replayed the DLC and completed all Questlines just for this fight to be perfect.

Damn I didn’t even see the summon signs for Thollier and Ansbach even though I finished their quest lines

For me it was Leda, Moore, Dane vs Me & Ansbach. Didn't look up what I needed to do for Thiollier and Freyja so they didn't make it and I helped Leda kill Hornsent before he could reach Messmer.

Yeah it was just me and Ansbach and it was ROUGH 😭 I caved for the first time in my 300 hours of Elden Ring and used mimic tear to win since winning the gank is largely just RNG, not skill… fighting Malenia for 70+ attempts was fine with me because whenever I failed, it was because I either mistimed a dodge or didn’t know the boss well enough. Whenever I died to this gank it was because the npc’s AI decided to heal or run me down as a group without giving me a chance to breathe. Also as much as I love Moore I feel sad that I rejoiced whenever he died because holy shit those rot pots made the fight so much fucking harder than it had to be 😭

You and I, fighting? A tragedy this is..... Sad......forever? 💔😢

Guess I f’d up Leda’s questline since she was able get Freyja, Hornset, Dryleaf and Moore to come after me so just when I was about to give up I finally thought I’d use a fully buffed Godskin Stitcher with triple thrust Ash of War applied, summoned my fully buffed Mimic Tear and Ansbach and they all melted into nothingness!! Such an exhilarating and exhausting experience!

So did you side with Leda in all her other fights or did you side with Hornsent and Ansbach?

Hornsent is a bit of an odd exception among the NPCs in that finishing his questline (summoning him for Messmer's fight) actually removes him from this fight instead of adding him (since he's actually included by default) Hornsent will invade you at Rauh Ruins if you go there after summoning him for Messmer

@@mettalton Moore doesn't really have a proper questline of his own, it all comes down to that one dialogue choice. if you tell him to stay sad he dies if you tell him to put it behind him he will turn up for this fight if you say you don't know then he'll remain as a merchant and you can make the choice at a later point. if you do this fight without him he'll be sad that all the others stopped coming to buy stuff from him.

I love this fight more than final boss of this DLC .I hope they update this area to pvp area

Your enemys and allies change in the fight depending of what quests you did before

if you are struggling, considerer using the only rightous power, the frienzed flame. It melt them and thrigger the dementia on them since they are huma,. I spammed vyke spear, waited they were aligned, chugged my wondrous physics with infinite fp and used the unleash frienzed flame. May chaos take the world (joke i'm ranni's simp)

looking at her lore, it's indeed possible that it's her first time in the position as the betrayed. it certainly wouldn't be her first time in the role of the traitor though. it seems like a paranoia-driven urge to stab all her allies in the back has been an issue for her since long before she started following Miquella (if anything Miquella's charm suppressed her worst traits for quite a while. she might just be the only one where the charm was a good thing)

Bro everything about this fight puts every other fight to shame imo. The lore, music, dialogue, and buildup that From Software had created, made the perfect boss fight in ANY of their games.

I need the ost of this fight. Help pls

She won't show up for me in after I am summoned to her world. Now I can't progress the story line and am locked out of the last fight

Neither of the player's allies in this fight are followers of Marika. Ansbach fights to avenge Mohg's defilement and Thiollier fights to fulfill St. Trina's wishes.

Fighting them solo is like the worst gank you’ve ever seen x10. I’m trying to blender the first two before Leda and Kung Fu show up but the fat one has that damn shield and his pots will instantly proc rot, even if it’s an indirect hit. Thank goodness I couldn’t figure out Freyjas quest or it would be 5v1 instead of 4

At first, they're all controlled by Miquella's great rune. Once it breaks, they have to choose if they want to follow Miquella anyways. Their choice depends on if you progress their quest or not. In this video... Ansbach decides to betray Miquella, after realizing he intends to use his lord Mogh's cadaver as a vessel for Radahn. Thiollier decides to betray Miquella at the request of St. Trina, because becoming a god would be a fate worse than death for Miquella. Freyja decides to side with Miquella, after learning that he intends to resurrect her lord Radahn. Hornsent decides to side with Miquella for a few reasons, such as a promise to save his people, but mostly because he wants to kill the player (the soon-to-be Elden Lord). As part of his revenge against Marika. Moore (not in this video) can decide to side with Miquella, because only he will provide a world that accepts unwanted children such as himself. This player didn't progress his questline so that he'd come to that realization, however, so he's absent.

@@mariuszgaaj2814 Miquella is not as good of a person as he thinks he is. He's motivated primarily by guilt and has a naive almost childish/pure idea that he can do better and that he could help people. However, it's clear from how he handled the whole situation and how much he manipulated/brainwashed with Radahn that he's not really all that better compared to Marika. The world he intends to make would just become a Golden Order 2.0 and Miquella would just end up repeating the mistakes of Marika and that guilt would just crush him eternally.

@@koshilowell9531in the area where St. Trina resides there is a rune where he leaves behind his Love. Which in turn would mean that if he became a god he wouldn’t be a loving god. Everyone would love him but he wouldn’t love anyone. It would just be an order of control

Without the tree upgrades this is easily the hardest fight in the game, every single NPC has like 20k hp and a 15k healing flask

i managed to 1v1 leda with my milady light greatsword with wing stance and holy shit that was probably the cleanest npc fight i had in this game
