This is the best souls creator ever, he's been walking me through the games for 7 years+. I love the random lore he creates in his videos like how the tentacle monsters in DS1 where wifus we have to protect by killing them bc they're cursed.

Hi, i have a question, i'm playing elden ring for the first time, i want to finish all original game bosses before entering the dlc, i'm afraid that i trigger the end and start a new game plus after defeating the last boss. where do you recommend me to stop.

@jadidmaroc4272 hi, no worries on starting ng+. When you beat the final boss and watch whatever ending you have earned through your journey, a question will pop up asking you if you want to start ng+ and you just select no and the game will spawn your character at the grace site just outside the tree, where you fought Horah Lou. Don't worry you can select ng+ at any time by resting at a grace site and selecting start new journey from the menu options. Once you finish the main game (all bosses), just fast travel back to Mohg's boss arena and walk up to the cocoon. Make sure you don't approach the cocoon until your ready to start the dlc so you don't accidentally select it.

I would say do you're first playthrough of the expansion without a guide and use a guide after you're first playthrough. There's nothing like a blind playthrough of a fromsoftware game.

Man I’ll be tuning in for that let’s play for sure. I’ve got all the strength arcane weapons ready to roll from beastmans curved swords to mohgs spear and shield to executioners sword and even occult giant crusher. No game to date has gave me the same joy and excitement that the first 100 or 150 hours of Elden ring did. Best game made to date imo

Your level DOES matter in the dlc. The blessing you receive are % increases to your current stats. Hence why you still receive runes in the dlc.

I mean it doesn't matter in the sense that a lv 100 could still do the DLC. Point is there isn't a "required" level for the DLC

Runes aren't JUST for leveling though, it's the currency of the game. Couldn't purchase anything if runes didn't drop

You can also get the blood of a maiden if you take the warp to the chapel of anticipation at the four belfries. There is a maiden there in the starting church if you don't want to deal with getting past the frenzied village and all that stuff.

I’d suggest getting to Mogh, but not defeating him yet, as we may get a new cutscene/dialog after dlc drops 😅

I doubt it. Most likely it’s a rest at the grace, then character spawns type thing.

0:31 Just FYI that’s actually not the right spot for the teleporter to Mohgwyn Dynasty area… it’s a little south. There is a giant tree hanging off the map that is easy to spot on the map screen, it’s right next to that. I actually thought it was where you said too till I went to it with my new character.

I have to play a second one from start, this weekend. I started earlier for 4 hours and got 3/4 done of the bottom first area before you head to the main castle. I really want to get to that dlc and I have a few good weapons that are maxed and a few good ashes of war.

one nice thing, I went into New Game+ like 6 weeks ago, and all my bell bearings were still turned in so I didn't have to collect them again

Also, according to miazaki, you need to beat radahn to access the DLC along with mohg.

Also, I think it's worth mentioning to unlock your 4 talisman slots. Using 4 talismans can be very powerful to helping a build come online. To get the fourth slot unlocked, you need to defeat Golden Godfrey in the Capital.

If you dont want to play with the frenzy flame tower, you can get the blood of a maiden from the starting point of the game where you get ambushed by the graphted scion by using the four belfries

Damn, I put 220 hours in my first playthrough and was not wanting to do another full playthrough to access DLC. Forgot about that quest that gives u access to Mogh. May do that on game plus and beat Radhan. Sometimes wish they would just allow access to their DLC’s like from the Start menu lol. Thanks for that tip Cowboy.

I am making a fresh character - 100% melee INT/Dex Samurai with Moonveil/Meteoric Ore Blade dual wield. It's a lot of fun. I will probably switch to Dex only and reverse-hand swords or if Great Katana is not quality and works for 100% Dex, maybe I will try it too.

I didn't really move on to NG+ and not enough time to do so before the DLC now, so my level 222 character (DEX-INT hybrid build) is sitting at endgame, where I got the three fingers ending. Really hope it doesn't make any drastic differences in the DLC experience, although I'm curious as to how different storylines will pan out in the main game once you have been to the DLC. I am all stocked up and ready to go

Should also equip Azure staff on your left hand to make incantations cast faster you don’t even need to have the stats required just have it on hand it and whatever seal you have equipped

I haven't played in over a year. NG+ (second playthrough) around lvl420-450, still have to take down Mohg and i just got to the Consecrated Snowfield. Just in time for the DLC

Also, grab a Envoy Long Horn if you have Faith and Strength investment. A lot of large enemies in this DLC. And with Shard of Alexander, the Long Horn can rip through them.

4:03 true, but going into the DLC at lvl 90 means you will have no vigor to survive. You need at least 60.
