Elden Ring - The Fastest Way to Reach Shadow of the Erdtree

Elden Ring’s only expansion is fast approaching, and in true FromSoft fashion, the method for accessing it will be a bit obtuse. We’re here to make sure you have everything you need to start Shadow of the Erdtree when it launches.
To even begin Shadow of the Erdtree, you need to take out one of the game’s most difficult bosses, Mohg, Lord of Blood. We already have full area and boss guides on Mohg, and a video on how to best be prepared for Shadow of the Erdtree, so even though we don’t recommend going straight to the DLC access point at a very early level, we’ll just use this video to go over the necessities of how to get to the right place to start it, and will point you to our other walkthroughs for big sticking points along the way. Understand that this is a full expansion, and not just a 3 hour side mission you can pick from the main menu.

@@Zorlac Some. not all. On average most players reported it to be 20ish hours if you are rushing. up to 40-60 or more if you explore everything. It depends on players and what they do with it.
Just do Ranni's quest. Start with Blaid and help him take out that Bloodhound Knight in Limgrave towards that seperate island south of Limgrave.

Just downloaded a save file from nexusmod. Played elden ring on Xbox back then, I'm on pc now. Don't want to replay.
Hands down, best way to start the dlc for NG+
Hands down one of the best videos to get to DLC. Another youtuber ConCon had a tutorial making you literally run across the whole Elden Ring map. This was the better tutorial as it worked straight from my NG+ journey. Thank you!

@10:40 you lose the runes you carry in the place you die. so don't be stacked up if you plan on losing your runs in a place you can travel too
If you have already beaten blood Mohg. You have an item that lets you teleport directly.

You cannot access the area of the map where Mohg resides until you kill Radahn Killing him causes an event to take place which alters the world map allowing access to a new subterranean area
Level 235 and still no idea how to get to blood mohg in NG 2.

@@85wastedyears some people are playing for the first time because the dlc, some are on their 2nd 3rd 4th more more playthrough and want to catch up and know at what point they should be at the access the $40 expansion when it drops instead of a week later depending how much time they have to play each day.

Not really. Loads of channels have all uploaded DLC videos at the same time so clearly there was a timing thing in place. They've been sat on these videos waiting until the moment they could upload them.
