That life long friends thing sounds very very relatable. When I was around 18-20 I was invited to join a gaming clan but the clan turned out to be more like a big group of friends than an actual clan. Played tonnes of battlefield 2 together then moved onto guildwars, then DayZ mod, ARMA II, some ARMA III and BF3, 4 and 1 although by the time 3 and 4 came about. All of us had real life commitments outside of gaming which sadly fractured the group quite heavily and we ended up drifting apart. Even though we dont game together as much as we used to. We still chat on discord occasionally and meet up for booze and BBQ probably once in a blue moon.... and we still call each other by our gamer tag back when we all part of a unit each and every time we meet up. Im almost 40 now and that shit still puts a big smile on my face because no other group of people refers to or addresses me as my old gamer or clan tag as these people do and it never changes however long between bbq parties. We all know each others real names. its just a hell of a lot easier to call each other our gamer tags. Very sad i know but making friends online that become real friends IRL is a bit different today then how it was before.

How fucking sad must one's life be to even consider playing subs in airship escort...

Always good to hear from a fellow POTBS player. I played for Spain, and others but never against Spain, for about 8 years before moving on a few years ago. Fun time and great players, but the game never ever received any new content and RVR eventually gets old. Keep up the great work and take care.

I was so excited for Burning Seas back in the day. I got into the closed Beta, wrote stories on the forums, wrote articles for gaming sites about it. But when I finally started playing it was just a bit too mmo and not enough ship combat for me. Still, a significant part of my life.

What's this mod Flolo is using for torps and smoke on minimap and the smoke icons in game?

I used to play Aion as well, Telemachus server if I remember right. That was an Elyos dominated server and I was playing Asmodian so not a fun experience getting bullied all the time and not being able to win any fortresses. I joined with a bunch of friends from Lineage 2 private servers and then met some more, I remember that game fondly.

So I finally got Elbing and it's probably the funniest t10 I've had to date outside of DM for just the absurd situations it throws out. Likewise I recently got a 21pt Luetjens on it. But now that I've hit the top on most lines, I've been thinking about finally hitting Schlieffen. Is Luetjen's secondary talent on Schlieffen so good to where I should swap him over and retrain one of my spare KMS captains? I ran him on Elbing line originally for the DPM and spotting talents allowing for some hysterical shenanigans. Thanks to anyone who's willing to chip in on the topic!

Hey flamu, i almost never comment but IMO the captain voice was a bit too loud and annoying in this vid. I had to watch with the volume all the way down without being able to hear your commentary. just thought youd like the feedback.

That explains why you are such a good player in general (aion). It was fucking competitive and the mechanics requirement wasn't a joke. Especially if you played anything like a glad or a sin, where weaving was like 60% more dmg even in pvp.

Flamu is there anyway to subdue the commander voice. I turned the volume down but in turn could barely hear you.

I used to play POTBS as well, unfortunately the server for my area (we were far enough away it isn't possible to play anywhere else) was too low pop to really play it properly. Also is that a Kiara voice over?

I love Kiara as a captain dude. Wish that WG get the rest of the Hololive Members tho. Fuwamoco would be fun. Or Biboo too. Or Hako Bae for Royal Navy Nation. Oh oh and Hololuve ID for Pan-Asia. Biboo can be part of Pan-Asian too. She is Thai and there was 2 Thai Ships in the game. Although I counted as 1 Thai Ship that actually exist. Not a god damn Atlanta. Heck, why did WG thinks Thailand will have US Cruisers? If we are talking about WWII, Thailand would most likely will get Japanese Cruisers than US ones.

I don't like vtubers, but i still got Kiara and Emilia to fill up my anime waifu captain roster, so i can annoy teammates ingame. I play cuz of the Azur Lane collab. Also the pan-asian cruisers are mostly post-WW2 - basically wartime cruisers the US sold to other countries after the war, instead of scrapping them cuz they were obsolete.

Damn. Good gameplay, but that commander voice is just so god damn annoying with how high pitched it is. With a gruff voice, that would be really nice voicelines. But like this? Its god awfully annoying.

It sounded familiar but I couldn't place it until I heard a "kikiriki". Maybe if there was more variance in the lines, but the "FIYAAAAA!" is just so long and loud it's all I hear. She definitely added some character to the lines...

Those commanders are the reason you can mute voice commander ingame.

To be fair some of the most popular real life streamers and youtubers also act autisticly, scream for no apperant reason or pretend to be dumber than they are. The difference is vtubers have the luxury of anonymity and being an e-girl without needing to show your actual body to their simps (or even being a girl lol).

Those anime girl captains are the worst feature to ever make an appearance in WoWs, i had to watch half the video on mute
