Hi, thank you so much for the review. I am truly excited for this! I’ve just ordered the CORE one. I am a physician who got bored the idea of using large headphones as a stethoscope. The most exciting thing about CORE is that you can hang it around your neck like a regular stethoscope!

I have the EKO Core that I have attached to my Littmann stethoscope. I bought it a couple years ago as a 1st year Nursing student. It has allowed me to pursue a career that I didn’t think I could do because of my hearing loss.

I just ordered the ECG DUO. I also have profound hearing loss and have been using the 20x stethoscope by 3M Littman 3200 for many years. I would have to take out my hearing aids, turn them off, and use the stethoscope. I now have the ReSound Enzo Q with Bluetooth capabilities and the iPhone ReSound app. I’m crossing my fingers this will work for me.

Thank you so much! but is the Duo used for auscultation of lung sounds and hearing blood pressure as well ? I’m very interested. I wear Phillips and have Bluetooth.

Hi Lascano, I only use the DUO for heart sounds and the EKG as needed. You can use it for lung sounds and I find it awkward to take blood pressures so I haven't taken many BPs for that reason. I may consider a quick video to learn and demonstrate.

@@noahrowland5223 Hi Noah! It takes years to auscultate well. When we listen to a song for the first time, we hear just the lyrics but then you start to hear the instruments the more you listen...same with auscultation. The good thing about the DUO is being able to view the rhythm on your phone at the same time you listen. Keep us posted. Good Luck!!!

Interesting question, I am not an audiologist or otolaryngologist but I do wonder if you would benefit from trying bone conduction headphones or speakers to avoid going directly into your ear canal and stimulating the tympanic membrane (to reduce vibration from sound waves). Are you able to visit an Audiologist or ENT doctor in your area to get expert opinion?

How do you know if the patient has an abnormal ECG if you do not know how to read ECG? Do the Eko tell us on the screen about the normal or abnormal ECG?

Hi M M, The Eko does not interpret EKGs, we do need to have some basic knowledge on how to read an EKG to use the DUO for that purpose. Khan Academy has some great videos on how to read EKGs and interpret abnormal rhythms that are super helpful! kzread.info/dash/bejne/noZ805msfbW9oLg.html

Hi M M, I wanted to update my recent finding. On the Eko * Web* Dashboard, there is a section for "results" which will display the rhythm and detected murmurs. This is new to me because I have only use the Eko app which does not tell us this information. I had to create an account on the Web version and it synched my recent recordings. As I learn more about this feature, will create another video about this. Thanks again for the question.
