3.5 per for a 3rd pairing aging guy who doesn't put up much in terms of points anymore or hit much is awful for 1 year let alone 4.

@@johnnyDs82 quite apt you compare him to another guy who shouldn't be on the main roster. You don't sign OEL to be a big defensively responsible guy. He's a puck mover that happens to not be small.

Tre brought in three experienced D for about the price of Marner's cap hit. If Tre can move Marner for more forward help and/or futures or cap space, then this season will be a rousing success. Letting Marner play out his last year and walk, or worse yet signing him to infinity to even more money are just not good business decisions.

He wasn’t so good in Phoenix which is why they traded him. He was miscast in Vancouver. Was never a top pairing dman. He’s a 4-5 and can quarterback a PP.
He can practice his golfing skills with the best hockey golfers in the world. (And more time to play as well)
I think Liljegren will be traded in a package trade with Robertson and Marner????🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

Why wouldn’t he be, he won his cup now he can go play for a team where he gets to golf early every year
All players always say "im exited, looking forward to..." but anyone with brains knows better. From Stanley cup winning team in sunshine Florida to crappy Toronto 🤦♂
