This is a live performance of "Was Ist Ist" by Einstürzende Neubauten and an choir of supporters. Released in October of 2005, the performance is from the currently (and indefinitely) unavailable "Grundstück" DVD, also known as Phase 2 of the Supporter Project. The song is available on their 1995 album, "Ende Neu." The DVD was filmed live at Berlin's Palast der Republik on November 4th, 2004.

What an incredible band… Their music changed and evolutioned a lot through the years, there is not a single bad era of EN. Their early industrial stuff is brilliant, their later more melodical music is equally brilliant.

This band has the energy of one Theater Kid and a bunch of stage techs.
This was an incredible moment in the history of music as I see it. Everyone who participated appeared to be having a great time together. Must have felt fantastic!

I was there. Supporter alias: Pica. I didn't arrive to Berlin early enough to be a part of the choir rehearsals. The sound wasn't bad, considering it was a vast space with huge rafters and concrete. It made for good reverb. That was a long time ago...

I really enjoy anything Blixa even if I don't understand German. However, it's not going to keep me from listening. I was only introduced to E.Neubauten music in early January, 2014. I've got a lot of catching up to do. :)

They actually met after the show. They ended up getting married. Sadly they went to Scientology though.

lustig hier... :D Neubauten als Nazis zu sehen ist ein Beleidigung für die Band und alle Fans wo dahinter stehen... aber er singt es ja schon "Was ist ist was nicht ist ist möglich...
die sind viel melodischer heutzutage... gefaellt mir aber
