Theres a point in guitar where you reach the technical ceiling and just have to keep exploring and being creative. You will then realize that there was no ceiling at all to begin with, it's a dark room never been visited before and that's why this band is so good. A mesh from metal, rock, trap, pop, hiphop influences. If this genre was known 50 years ago, it wouldn't be as interesting today. But the band gave birth to a new level of originality and creativity. Kudos to Tim, Scott, Clay, and Clay!

Everyone's sense of music is built upon the foundations of what they've heard before, and then they may or may not choose to iterate upon that with their own sound, and they certainly have a signature style, a sound that is distinctly them. It's fine if it's not to your taste, but calling it "unfortunate" or basic is rather disingenuous.
