you say this without a sense of Irony don't you... as you live a life on stolen lands. Land that doesn't belong to you, and that your people are STILL violently taking from other people. It's true. THERE'S NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES. American Society is not innocent of thievery or larceny. Only the children are innocent.

Hi , just caught this. I’m from Watertown. Very familiar with this case as well as Jack Blake. Barbara Egan cam from Rodman was a honor student in school really nice girl. Then she met the Egans. Really sad she ruined her life. She lived down the street from my in-laws and hubby. You are correct on the rest stop. My hubby the police officer just told my the police refer to this as the Egan rest stop. That is exactly where it happened. The story is more involved. But for a last minute story you are 100% correct. Interesting footnote is Leon died on 81 while directing traffic some years later. Karma Now, Jack Blake was my my classmate and can fill you in on everything. It terrorized the entire class. Community was in an uproar. I remember Shawcross on a brown bike. Several years ago I did pay for the marker as Jack did not have one. I do have contact with the family if you were interested. Message me if interested.

Have a ton of infamous crimes, many off the beaten past This area seem to be conducive to it. Tina Hosmer Smith unsolved, Iren Izek “unsolved”😉. That’s just a couple ideas. I guess with my hubby involved with police work so long, really have extensive knowledge. If you want new unusual crimes contact us.

I remember this because he was my first celebrity crush at the age of 13. when i saw him on an episode of "21 Jump Street". The episode was called " Fun With Animals " season 3.

FYI the rest stop you show here is the correct rest stop. The interstate wasn't finished yet and ended at the next exit

Funny to see the truck at the rest stop; like the Egans were only 68 years early for their heist. It's so difficult trying to care about criminals who get crimed against. Imagine the police having to care about their stupid evidence about this stupid family's just desserts.

Definitely looks like they were buried at the Bradley Street Cemetery which Superior Street kinda goes around that cemetery the rest stop looks like you’re heading for Alex Bay I know those roads I spent about 25 out of 31 years of my life in Watertown and it just continues to get worse and worse that’s why I left

Hi, Yes you are correct but the cemetery is North Watertown Cemetery. Crappy side of town. Grew up in Watertown. The Egens were nasty people. Embarrassed to say my Grandmother used to visit Bertha Belcher the Madam. Grandmother would not allow anyone to go near them. She used to call her by her nickname “Big Bertha”. Bertha was a Montondo by birth. This case has been bad news since the 1800’s. I should clarify not every single Montondo is horrible but a large number were and are still trouble. Grandmother was a distant relative. She was careful who her family interacted with but she still would talk to them. The Montondos would make a awsome series for Netflix. They were part of the Forty Thieves in NYC. Read the old papers amazing the lives they lived from the Civil War onward. If anyone is interested free vintage newspapers at Old Fulton Postcard. Type in Montondo and variations.
