I really like how you break slides into archetypes. When I was at McKinsey with early tenure, my managers were always too busy to teach me these basics.

Heinrich, the level of your content, the didactic you have doesn't improve just big 4 starter players, but also me working to big corps and better organizing my presentations and way of work. Trully thanks!

Great as usual. I also found it useful in building a top down story line of the deck with just the headline section of the presentation and then when I am finally good with it, go ahead and flesh out each action title in a cogent way.

Very informative and mind-blowing video. I am a graduate trying to learn all I can to become a better investment analyst and I absolutely loved the content of this video. Keep it up, mate! Quick suggestion: I think a series on behavioural best practices would be awesome (what to do in x situation, how to work more efficiently etc).

Very nice. I started an MBA and my first assignment was to produce a slide deck so I kept the table format in mind.

Heinrich, you are a rockstar consulting machine with impeccable timing! I'm working on a Saturday... building a presentation and thinking about how I'm going to present both qualitative and quantitative data on a slide. I took a lunch break, watched a little KZread while I ate, and now I know exactly what I need to do. I even downloaded a template for it. Is your timing always this good? Thanks, and great job with this channel. I've recommended it to many.

Hello, Heinrich! Congratulations on your job! I have a question and a suggestion for you: 1) As far as I could find, Think-Cell is only available for corporate users. Is there a version for personal use? 2) As a suggestion, you should consider some pricing adjustments for your courses for those people from countries where the currencies are weaker. It makes the prices really high for us. Thanks a lot for all the knowledge you share here. Regards from Brazil!

Good video; But confused about the notion of "every slide is a table"...yes, that's true. I'm in middle management at Google and most slides are tabulated, but this isnt applicable across every slide? Sometimes, a table isn't the best choice to convey information.

I misunderstood the Think-cell offer. I thought I'd be able to take advantage of it. Unfortunately for me, when I tried to sign up for it, the site stated that a corporate email address is required to initiate the download. That's disappointing since I consult independently. Still, the content of the video is highly valuable. Thanks, Heinrich!

2:00 3 main types of slides: qualitative, quantitative, and integrated. 2:30 different type of info you want to convey. 2:50 error in slide writing: first bullet is general idea, second is example. and the third is conclusion. this is false!! 3:50 this is text-heavy, so maybe not for main deck, but for the appendix. 4:20 the additional column for roadmap/ timing. if this is of interest to you. 4:55 for the other layout ideas, especially in changing the column headers, you can use timeline, process chart. 5:30 basic layout archetypes can be leveraged and expanded on. 7:20 quantitative slides. 7:25 quantitative slide: now here is arguably the mother of all quantitative slide layout. 8:20 an example of following this methodology. this is very basic but with this, you would never get a feedback of looking unprofessional. 9:00 many times, you don't need the first column since the charts itself is self-explanatory. 9:40 integrated slide: this is arguably the most interesting style of slide presentation 11:00 an example of integrated slide. often it takes more cognitive energy from reader and not direct make sense. 11:30 second example of integrated slide. not too far away from the blueprint.
