Well, I guess she didn't go back to see him because she told everyone in town that he was dead. I guess she didn't want to arise suspicion in anyone if they saw her sneaking back to the castle to see him. I could tell she didn't want to leave him for good, but she kind of had to, in order to protect him from the people.

Johnny said once in an interview he tried to play Edward scissors hands from the perspective of like a baby or a puppy I think he said. Basically a place of innocent and not knowing. I thought that was exactly what he was like and made the character so lovable. I was a young child when I saw this the first time and remembered being afraid of him a first but then loving him when I realized he wasn’t trying to hurt anyone. Love this movie!

He gives me such autistic vibes and I don’t understand why (I say this as someone who is autistic and sees some of my mannerisms in him) He is so precious and if anything happened to this baby I would destroy everyone responsible

I see how he could give off those vibes. Although, I think Edward mainly acts like that because - as said in the film- “he hasn’t had enough experience with society, he’s completely new to everything” something like that. He was taught a few things by his inventor, so he knows his manners - there was a scene where he read a book about manners - and then poetry So, I don’t see Edward as autistic, but Johnny does have a character who is and he’s just the sweetest cutest guy!! Sam, from Benny and Joon. Maybe I’ll make a compilation of him, next ! :DD

Tend to prefer to be called neurodivergent and not mentally ill, since their condition doesn’t cause themselves internal suffering, rather they tend to get worse because society tends to mistreat them and the education system is usually, less than good at accommodating them. I just have anxiety, (I’m mentally ill, not neurodivergent). So I’m not an expert. Again, anyone who knows more, feel free to reply with corrections or extra information.

I like to think that Edward Scissorhands and Jack Sparrow are two complete opposites in Depp's career as an actor. Like, Edward is reserved, doesn't talk much, sometimes shy. And then... Jack Sparrow.

we watched this movie in class one time and pretty much everyone would just be like "awwweee" whenever he'd do something and i think i heard one girl say "shut up i love him he's my bf now" like,, my entire class just collectively agreed that Edward is one of the cutest characters to exist. it was honestly so wholesome. we all got rlly sad at the end when he had to hide away again

I think Edward's character is closest to Johnny's real personality. Sweet, helpful, endearing, and talented.

2 minutes and 13 seconds of a nearly 2 hr movie he talks... unbelievable how Tim Burton packs in emotion without dialogue.

I love this character so much, I remember when I first watched the movie I was 11 and was crying because he just wanted to help but everybody was being mean to him

Awwww 🥺 I feel the same, Edward was such a pure being and genuinely only wanted to make others happy, and they all shunned him and at the end, everyone thought he was terrible ... and Kim never came back It’s so unfair and always breaks my heart

I love the softness of his voice😊

This is perfect. His voice is so gentle.

People know him as Edward, Willy Wonka, Victor and Captain Sparrow Edward: shy person who doesn't talk much Wonka: chocolatier as a kid stuck in a grown man's body Victor: similar to Edward but talks more and alot nervous and scared Sparrow: hyperactive adventurer who won't make up his mind if he wants to drink or not
