Joan Cusack's Best Lines- Addams Family Values

Фильм және анимация

Arguably one of the funniest screen performances of all time. Joan Cusack, who has been nominated for 2 Oscars before in comedies (Working Girl, In & Out), should have also been recognized here! I did take some liberties with allowing other stars to shine (Anjelica Huston gets a great line). In fact, I might do another one with Christina Ricci, who wasn't able to be displayed here as much. The entire cast is so funny in fact, that even with Cusack in a scene there's another zinger being thrown back at her. Enjoy! #addamsfamilyvalues #oscars #joancusack

It’s actually kind of brilliant how Debbie comes so close to fitting right in with the family but never truly can because her top priority will always be her own desires, while the Addams’ top priority will always be one another’s needs.

Just an interesting note, Debbie spends the vast majority of the movie wearing very neutral earth-tone makeup colours: a lot of brown eye-shadow, and orange-tone lipstick and blush. The only times she does otherwise are in the bathtub scene and in the final scene. When she tries to electrocute Fester she's wearing blue eye-shadow, but it's subtle and she gets away with it. When she's trying to kill the entire family she's wearing heavy purple eye-shadow, heavy orange blush, and heavy lipstick, and finally reveals herself as a homicidal maniac. so i guess you could say that her makeup...... shows her true colours

It's rare for a new cast member to steal the show from an already stellar ensemble. Joan really did an awesome and hilarious job in this film. She made it twice as good and fun to watch. It's also credit to the writers for giving her some great one-liners. Can't think of any other actress who could deliver those lines as perfectly as Joan. Great and underrated actress!! 8:52 "OH, YEAH? SET THIS!!" HAHAHA!!

While I agree with everything you said about Cusack stealing the show, I think Meryl Streep would have been an excellent choice since she did a great job in Death Becomes Her. Maybe, Goldie Hawn would have been another great choice since she did well in Death Becomes Her. You are spot on with everything else you said. God Bless.
