You're anthem can bring me to tears. When I heard it after the Christchurch horror I couldn't believe how much emotion washed over me. I think God Defend New Zealand is one of the most beautiful albums in the world.

I'm playing this when I finally drive back into Canada to move there.

Brilliant arrangement and performance by the ESO. Our national anthem performed as it should be, with pride and conviction. WOW!

This has to be the most beautiful versions of "Oh, Canada" I have ever heard. Truly inspiring and uplifting. Certainly gives me a sense of pride in this American's heart that my Great Grandparents headed south to the USA.

I am very picky when it comes to my nation's anthem, it has to be perfect. This satisfies me very well.

This is absolutely beautiful! An understated elegance to the whole thing. This music is our signature, and that is how it should have been performed at the 2010 Opening Ceremony.

How can you not help but smile as the tune comes to a beautiful crescendo :'D

I am from US, but I have always held your anthem as one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It tells a story of strength and compassion. The Edmonton Symphony is to be commended for such an incredible job on such an incredible song. BTW, I have been to Edmonton before, and yours is such a beautiful city. I am from Texas, and this is one of the best renditions of Canada's national anthem I have heard. Being a hockey fan, I have come to know and love the True North's anthem. I have the utmost respect for the Canadian people and their country. God bless America and Canada!

O Canada is the national anthem of Canada. The song was originally commissioned by Lieutenant Governor of Quebec Théodore Robitaille for the 1880 Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day ceremony; Calixa Lavallée composed the music, after which, words were written by the poet and judge Sir Adolphe-Basile Routhier. The original lyrics were in French; an English translation was published in 1906. O Canada is a poem, even an epic poem. To really understand O Canada, you must listen the French version. The lyrics in French, are : Ô Canada! Terre de nos aïeux, Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux! Car ton bras sait porter l'épée, Il sait porter la croix! Ton histoire est une épopée Des plus brillants exploits. Et ta valeur, de foi trempée, Protégera nos foyers et nos droits. Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
