EDM Producer Reacts To One Piece Openings (1-14) Part 1

Музыка

Please enjoy my reaction to One Piece openings! This video dives into openings 1 through 14 and a second part will dive into openings 15 through 25. This anime is very different from previous openings for other animes that I have reacted to! This one seems to have a bit of a mixture of an open world story line with an actual "end game" goal in the long run. I know this anime is extremely popular so I am definitely curious to watch it in the future!

Note to be aware of, Openings 24 and 25 might be different in the playlist you watch. The Opening 24 on compliations sometimes is actually Episode 1000's Special Opening and other times a fan-made one. Best to find those openings individually. Opening 24 is called PAINT and Opening 25 is called The Peak.

One thing about the "One Piece could go on forever" thing: It could. But it won't, as you noticed there is a goal. The story has a definitive endpoint that will be coming eventually, that the author has had in mind since day one. And there has regularly been tangible progress towards that end goal. And the manga is starting to really wind up towards that end now. It'll still be some years for sure, as One Piece is 100% a "journey before destination" type of story, with a massive world to traverse. But it's always going somewhere, not just spinning its wheels. No arc (aside from anime-only non-canon stuff) is empty filler.

The first OP was used multiple times, but different Versions. In the second Version of the first OP we hear the Voice Actors of the Main Characters singing the Opening together. There actually is a Main Quest which is (not rly a spoiler since it get's mentioned in literally the first Minutes of the series^^) to find the Treasure of the Pirate King, which is called "the One Piece".

Just a note to what you said at the end; don't let these openings fool you, One Piece is definitely one of the saddest and hardest hitting animes out there and it is very much serious. The story is also very complex to say the least hence why the show has been running for so long, can't wait to see you dive in :)!

It's got a lot of joy but if I had to name an anime that had made me cry the most, One Piece is at the top of that list. There's nothing close. Sure, there's some sad scenes in other anime, but no other has had me with tears streaming down my face... multiple times. And it's not only just the sadness - the anger and hate, the disgust and annoyance - it's a tour de force of emotion. If you watch One Piece and feel nothing, you're either a liar or not human.

  • @IceAokiji303
    @IceAokiji30310 ай бұрын

One Piece is a funny series in that "how serious is it?" area. Because a lot of the time it's very lighthearted, silly and goofy. But then on occasion it'll hit you with something very dark or serious. And while it's not the darkest anime by any means, its darker more serious parts hit extra hard due to the contrast. If a series is just all doom and gloom or blood and gore or tears and drama, it takes me some five episodes at most to get entirely and irreparably numb to it and stop caring. But One Piece manages to strike a great balance between the different emotions it elicits, where it can take you from worry to cheering to laughing to _pain_ in rapid succession, and all of those end up hitting harder than for the average series that just focuses on one.

for your question at 5:10 One Piece film red is one of the movies for the anime, exploring stories that aren't perse "canonical" but involve canonical characters and settings. Kind of like a side story that didn't happen in the anime but could have happened. The anime has been airing on TV weekly since 1999, and the Author draws and writes everything himself, only sometimes requiering help with backgrounds for the manga. The anime is (currently) 1078 episodes long. And the live action just came out at the end of this August spanning 8 episodes total.

Since you said you're currently watching AoT, lemme just share that I also love AoT and I consider it to be a literary masterpiece. It's so tragic and beautiful. That being said, once I started watching One Piece earlier this year, I caught up in 3 months. This was because it gave me so much dopamine and hit me harder than anything I ever watched previously. It comes off as a silly happy go lucky anime, and it can be a lot of the time. But it's so deep and meaningful as well, literally changed my brain chemistry and helped me come out of my lifelong depression bit by bit. I would HIGHLY recommend checking it out when you are finished with AoT. It's so worth it.

That is, ironically, the perfect place to have stopped. That's literally the cut-off point for the series' time skip part. Nice choice for stopping there. Oh, and for something to note for this series: a common theme in it is that of 'inherited will'. Namely, just because someone has died, doesn't mean there aren't others to carry on their will, even long after they have passed.

Really love seeing people's initial reaction to One Piece. Funny enough, in response to your point around 17mins in, the author has actually had an ending in mind from the start that has been building and being foreshadowed for decades. It's definitely got potential for being open-ended, and they take advantage of that, but under the hood of One Piece is a ton of lore, a massively in-depth story, and one of the greatest mysteries in all of fiction! One Piece is the second most successful comic in history behind Superman, and is the most popular manga in history! Through One Piece, the author Eiichiro Oda has found himself in the Top 10 most successful authors in history, amongst people like Shakespeare. (Oda is #10!)

17:39 For the record One Piece does in fact have an established goal and end game to the story BUT The creator ( Echiro Oda ) is also all about the journey to getting there and letting the story take as long as it needs to be told in a satisfying non rushed way. Oda’s series is literally a prolific experience and journey of master class storytelling, world building and weaving together the world he has created Legitimately some characters and things you might not think matter can come back 40, 80, 300, 800 episodes later to have actually mattered or played a bigger role than the viewer ( Anime / movies/Live action ) Or reader ( manga/comics/SPS/novels ) Would have expected

One thing if you think this show is all happy your horribly mistaken 😂 it’s one of the saddest and most emotional story! I have cried 26 times (yes I counted) it’s the best at telling a story and making it fun to go on the adventure too. 20:48 I believe this version is sung by the voice actors. You also got the plot exactly correct. The possibilities are as endless as you think.

If there is one anime you can call a cartoon, it is this one. The author was inspired by Looney Toons, Tom&Jerry, Popeye and that style ruberhose animation.

The very first opening of one piece gets reused from time to time, like the first one where the cast of one piece sings and then the second one in this episode, as well as one for the 1000th episode. It's just a nice song they bring back for milestones :)

Yeah, you got it--there's an end goal set up from the start, and the entire story is about reaching it. It's not even about "finding" the One Piece; everyone has pretty much guessed where it is. It's just a matter of getting there, and that's taking...well, we're over 1000 episodes in now, obviously. But it never feels like it's dragging out because every step brings us a step closer to that goal. And even though there's some wiggle room for the author to include as much as he wants before we reach that goal, the world he's created is still finite and has easy to point to physical milestones along the way, so we literally know when we've made it to the halfway mark (in terms of literal distance from the goal, that is).

they indeed all have their own fighting style along with being responsible for some role on the ship along with thier fighting abilities. the dude in the suit is the cook, the redhead girl is the navigator etc. that is something we took for our pirate themed DnD campaign right now. (my wizard is the the ship doctor, the warlock is the captain, the cleric navigates etc.) I always found that a nice touch for the show to give them something to do between fights and make sense of why they are on the ship and how they can function with this small crew, while other ships we see have a crew of 20+. another nice touch is in OP 7(?) the dude with the blue hair and speedo lookes extra impressed when the ship flies since he, you know, is the one who built that thing in the first place XD

Glad u are reacting to this op 🎉 And like someon says, it's not like simpsons, this anime it's have a story, a plot, and have and end, but the one piece it's not easy to find, many pirates had try to find it, but now in the actual arc on the manga, we are more close to find the one piece 🎉

One Piece is a world wide phenomenon. Oda Sensei’s masterpiece has reached 516.5 Million copies sold. Making One Piece the second most popular comic/ manga (by volume) in the world. Only being surpassed by Superman with 600 Million copies. To put this in perspective, One Piece is the biggest thing in Japan since Dragonball and Pokémon. It’s sales have been increasing every year. And with the success of the Netflix adaptation, it’s bound to only get more popular.

As a Note. Op 24 and 25 might be different than the officials. Op 24 starts with luffy grabbing for his hat. Op 25 with a notebook. If they are not in the vid you should add them into the next part bc comments telling you to react to the real ones will be flooding your comments. Op 24 is called Paint and op 25 The Peak. Oh and op7 was the first opening but sung by the voice actors of the crew
