That's awesome! I had no idea; you've been commenting for forever. Glad I got to get a match in with you.
you can use shift and alt and z or x to adjust your default building spacing
I respect that you're willing to post this. xD Was a valiant attempt. I'd generally advise to try and get the commander forward much sooner. Need to try and think of the front line as being the mid point of the map. Send your Com building mexes along the fastest line, and then start getting LLTs up along with a radar. Have constructors fill in the mexes that he missed either side. From there you can either focus on pumping as much units as you've got metal for, or can also use the cons you sent forward to help the commander build better defences. Your eagerness to be aggressive and apply pressure was good, but judging which battles to fight not so good. Sending a cheap scout to take a look first is well worth it, to help you know whether it's a worth while attack, or just giving away metal. From your comments you're already aware clearly, but even if dealing actual good damage to an enemy force or defence line, if your own forces are totally wiped out in the process it can still end up worse off for you if unable to actually take the reclaim, or otherwise exploit the opening before they close it again. The micro will obviously improve over time. ^ ^

This is great advice, thanks for the help! Looking back, not getting my commander forward is huge and a big reason why our frontline was so far back. I'll keep it in mind for next time.

@@Cronchychomp One random other tip btw, useful for Com on front action... If you ever need to DGun but your energy is stalling, hit the DGun key in advance anyway (if possible) and the game will prioritise saving energy for it for a while, and hopefully get you enough to fire.

I had no idea, that's sick! I've been playing for years, but there's still stuff I don't know.
The hotkey for ping on gridkeys is `, located above the tab button.

Thank you, but I'm not using grid! Normally it's Q for me so I'm not sure what happened.
One big improvement would be to push you com up. Vital to securing a good front and the juicy 3+ mex. Also to many con turrets. I like to get a con bot to build one con turret then 3 adv solar and repeat. That way you balance it out and you can micro elsewhere.

Thanks for all the advice, I definitely struggled with having too many constructors and not enough for them to do!
caster mode has to be the best mode

Totally agree!
Standard is 2 mex, 1 windmill, 3rd mex, 2nd windmill and 3 windmill

Thanks, it definitely depends on the map and wind too!
Went just like a lot of my games, but honestly, as a front liner, what can you do against the first T3 push. By that time your backline needs to be ready to help. Feels so powerless at that point.

For real. If you're not already winning, that T3 push can really only be defendes by your backliners.
its ok, you cant win every game. Don't feel bad about it. Leaving wrecks to the enemy should be avoided tho, especially early.

It's true! I definitely don't feel bad cause I've played a lot of games.
