    Brawler is way higher, can one-shot most fodders units such as squire and hoplite so they're well worth the price.

    I loved how you made the chapters of this video. I have the problem of being an "expert beginner" in this game. I practice a bunch & I understand the basics but I just can't seem to execute. Having the game split into tiers so I can see when / how / the conditions of teching up and seeing the thumbnail situation CLEARLY demonstrated and explained helps! Kudos to you!

    Agree that BAR (like most rts) is snowbally, as a bad filthy casual, it's hard for me to know how to press any advantage that I do get

    Yep, it's definitely difficult but insanely fun once you start rolling! Information with air scouts and radar is key to knowing when to press an advantage.

    You might be right, like I said, I don't remember. However, I imagine they're pretty comparable fighter-wise overall unless you're a really high-tier player. For less experienced players its more a question of having shurikens and dragons vs abductors and atomic bombers.

    I’m lazyboy… I think this was my third game as air with basically no practice 🙈 I lost a few dog fights because I had no idea how to be effective with the fighters and then it just kept rolling against me from there. Air is definitely not my comfort zone 😳 Nice casting

  • @Cronchychomp
    @CronchychompАй бұрын

    Hey, no worries, air is super tough to learn! Yeah, after the first few fights are lost I would advise heavily investing into ground AA as a cope measure, but you did great either way.

    Regarding your observations on scale, even in Total Annihilation, trees are huge relative to units, nearly all but the Krogoth (juggernaut) and Goliath (tzar) are smaller than the flaura on many of the maps. In TA on the city maps, the cars are roughly the same size or bigger than the t1 tanks so I think it's safe to assume one could pet a tick/flea like a medium sized dog or give a peewee/ pawn a hug.

    as much as I hate the spam it legitimately makes sense when nobody builds any of the units that are specifically in the game to turn a neverending river of spam from a legitimate win condition into "oh, crap! our backline players were traitors the whole time! they're spending all of our energy to feed the opponents all of our metal!"

  • @Cronchychomp
    @CronchychompАй бұрын

    Agreed, its just always rough to see experienced players arty units shooting each other because of scout spam as no one builds any countless number of counters.

    I think my main issue with the King in general is the fact he needs priests to be effective, the only reason he actually killed that Jarl in the video is because he had multiple healers backing him up. No other boss unit in the game needs to rely on another unit to go toe-to-toe with the others.

  • @Maegnas99
    @Maegnas99Ай бұрын

    42:50 Behemoths certainly have their place: they force the issue. That is, the opponent Must commit something effective to stopping them, such as swarms, gunships, a bazillion snipers. And whatever option the defenders make you can push up behind your behemoths while countering their counter. In theory.

  • @Cronchychomp
    @CronchychompАй бұрын

    Agreed! I think the juggernaut is a much more effective way to do that, though.

    A good frontline player that can also just eco on the front is way better than someone afk scaling in the back. You'll crush the frontline player, and get reclaim to boost eco

  • @Cronchychomp
    @CronchychompАй бұрын

    Fair take, whenever I see games between equally skilled players, though, I always find the pure backliner way outscales. Although, I suppose that should be expected.

  • @Dozer456123
    @Dozer456123Ай бұрын

    @@Cronchychomp oh yea for sure. I guess what I was saying is that a mid player on back line can get within 30% of a good player, but a good player on frontline blows that bad player out of the water eco wise

    Intro of TAs voiceover: "What began as a conflict over the transfer of consciousness from flesh to machines escalated into a war which has decimated a million worlds. The CORE and the ARM have all but exhausted the resources of a galaxy in their struggle for domination. Both sides now crippled beyond repair, the remnants of their armies continue to battle on ravaged planets, their hatred fuelled by over four thousand years of total war. This is a fight to the death. For each side, the only acceptable outcome is the complete elimination of the other"
