Thank you, Asian Petrolhead. Hyundai is very smart bring forth electric cars rather than only SUVs. I prefer cars. Equally impressive to me is they are also the first company to offer cars with less horsepower allowing for greater range. I love that. I think Hyundai stylists have done excellent work in designs that are beautiful. I love what they have done in creating the IONIQ 6, as they are beautiful to look at. I'm hoping that the higher trim levels will be available without a sunroof and have an all-steel roof. I live in a rural area that has tall trees, as well as at my home. Tree limbs coming down are a common thing so having glass over my head is frightening.

Definitely on my short list for my next car!

Very nice presentation of this Ioniq 6 Charlie ! In Canada buyers of sedan cars is in huge declining since small and medium size SUV's got out! The Ioniq 5 is in a huge demand here. 😉

It kills the Ioniq 5 when it comes to range even though it's much longer. It's actually astonishing. Amazing what aerodynamics can do.

Great review of an awesome car thank you. I know sedans are vanishing from our roads but perhaps a lot of that is do with so many manufacturers not offering anything fresh and innovative. Hyundai have done a great job in creating a something really different and although referencing past designs, it looks like nothing else on the road in its class. Hopefully this sees a renewed interest in sedans, particularly in the EV sector where decent aero can make such a big difference.

This car in its design is a welcome addition to the "Ioniq" car family imo... Also, I think they should make a special edition where the rear wheels are slightly wider, maybe wider, a rear wheel based version with the added performance to match 😊

Hi Charlie! Welcome back! Great job, as always! When you do have a chance to drive the Ioniq 6, can you please let us know if it uses USB-C ports or USB-A (older, slower style). I'm also interested in knowing if it has WIRELESS Apple CarPlay, and if there will be a similar model coming from Genesis, as they did with the Ioniq 5/Kia EV6/Genesis GV60. Right now, there are certain things I love about the GV60, including the Face Unlock and Touch ID features, and the general overall premium build. But...that Ioniq 6 in the Biophillic Blue Pearl (that looks purple), is HOT!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I didn't see this first time round. I think it looks like a Porche Taycan which is no bad thing . I'm on record as saying on an earlier video that I was disappointed with the range of the Hyundai/Kia cars but this one is up there. Nice

Thank you for this first viewing of the ioniq 6, looks like a cross between a taycan and a tiburon with a splash of Mercedes cls. Dissapointed to hear that they still dont have wireless AA. Just look at Volkswagen and the VAG-group, wireless AA and no start button. Just get in and go.. Like it should be. Hopefully the korean brands will get there some day. Cheers from Sweden!

There's two matte colors. Gravity Gold Matte and Digital Green Matte.

So when you mentioned the price, relative to the Ioniq 5 prices for comparable versions how much more is the Ioniq 6? 5k USD? Thanks for the great video! I don't know, I wonder if they should have offered a version without the whale tail spoiler thing. The other thing is, if they are going to cameras for side mirrors, why not stitch the whole rear view picture into the centre mirror and have a flashing light only for cars passing right next to you? You don't need side screens.

Looks great, especially in black where the accents blend in! Too bad it's not a liftgate also not fan of the headlight shape, I understand it's inspired by the older coupés. Why did they put such large bezels on the side mirror screens?

Black bezel, I don't know why. Probably cost issues, but looks much better than White one from IONIQ 5.

Charlie- This being a sedan, how well do you believe this will sell given how few sedans are sold outside of South Korea? The look is polarizing, so at best it will sell a few thousand units in the US.

honestly if it were me, i'll only need an EV of 110-150kw with 300-400km range. but that is just me. and also the direct conversion of the Ioniq6 price is still affordable. the base Ioniq5 with standard range are sold around that price in my country.

I wish Hyundai gave it a fixed glass roof like the Ioniq 5, ID4, Model 3, etc. I could do without the mechanical parts and track maintenance I've had to deal with on my other old cars with moon roofs.

I rather have moon roofs there no reason to have a glass roof if it doesn't open might as well have a metal roof it will be hundred of pounds lighter tesla came out with the fixed glass roof cause they were cheaper to make then none fixed roof

I would choose EV6 for now. But I might change my mind when I drive it.

Pretty cool car, I’m wondering what the lithium situation is gonna be like. I’ve heard from quite a few people in the mining industry that we are about to have big shortages. They say 2045ish is the soonest we will have enough available lithium for 100% EV adoption.

I don't mind the frunk size on this car but I'm shocked that this looks similar to the crossovers IONIQ 5 AND KIA EV6 and they're larger vehicles

Well, you have to see the IONIQ 6 in person. It's quite different.

I will really take this Hyundai electric car over a Ferrari or a Corvette any day you can say I'm crazy but this car is so nice and it has a lot of room inside pluse it has a lot of room in the trunk.

You should check your belt... It doesn't seem to work ;)

Thanks for the edit that trimmed out the reading for questions (❓) and added 🅱️roll. Nice exclusive time with the vehicle. I use to be 6’2” like Charlie but time has reduced me to 6’ but still the tallest of my family so the rear seat should be just fine as the front passenger seat can accommodate an occasional taller passenger. On your first drive if you could show off the colors in daylight describing if it has a lot of metal flake, light metal flake or none as well matte or gloss finish. Some description helps with knowing how it compares to IONIQ 5 colors we now have seen. Someone said there would be a RED. Can you confirm if that’s true. I’m hoping for crimson red like look made popular by another manufacturer. I like the range and style is growing on me but unfortunately the price incentives of 7.5K just vaporized here in the US. Can you also put up the World numbers as the US is one of the few that still live in the dark ages for measurement system, other KZreadrs do it shouldn't be too hard to put the km up as well for range figures and any others as stated.
