    Apart from the insights on the deck tech, the way you presented the whole thing was very entertaining. Great job Sir!

    Nice Deck Tech mate! Would 'Wake the Dead' work well if you have to cast it during your opponent's turn and they will just refuse to agree to Obeka's trigger? Would also recommend 'Saheeli Rai' and 'Cauldron Dance'. Keep up the great content!

    i was playing obeka when my friend emerkuled me and played my zara, gave her haste and then hit him where he dropped a knollspine dragon and discarded my hand. Sad times.

    Hi, im really looking forward to trying to make a deck around obeka. I do have a mechanic question since myriad was recently introduced. Would the token copies stay around if i use it to end the trigger which happens on the end of combat? I’m looking at using that and possibly araumi for the encore effect to have 9 possible copies attacking too, and if i could keep all 9 copies afterwards that would be fantastic

  • @AffinityForCommander

    @AffinityForCommander

    So encore makes you sacrifice your tokens at the beginning of the next end step, and so activating Obeca'a ability with the sacrifice trigger on the stack will keep them around! 😁

    @@AffinityForCommander ok, so since i would need to resolve the myriad sacrifice trigger at the end of combat, would that mean i would mean my opponent’s next end step would make me sacrifice the encored creature? But if i did that, would i keep the 6 other tokens made from myriad?

    12:39 you said earlier that we couldnt ignore end of turn effects because ending the turn still takes you to the end of the turn?

  • @AffinityForCommander

    "At the beginning of your end step" effects an be overwritten with Obeca's ability, as you can end your turn with them still on the stack. "Until the end of your turn" effects still occur however, as the turn is still ending. I hope that helps to clear things up a bit for you! :)

    I don't understand. If Obeka is already tapped, it means it is no longer our turn as she ends it. How does untapping her with something like [Minamo, School at Water's Edge] or [Thousand-Year Elixir] to tap her again to remove a removal spell from the stack gonna save her? The opponent will simply choose to not end the turn...

  • @AffinityForCommander

    @AffinityForCommander

    If an opponent responds to you ending your turn, you can then untap Obeka and respond to their response by ending the turn. Hope that makes more sense! 🙂

    The player who's turn it is can CHOOSE to end their turn, and is not forced to. This can make for some really fun political plays in multiplayer games! 😁

  • @AffinityForCommander

    @AffinityForCommander

    2 жыл бұрын

    When eater of days comes into play, it's ability goes on the stack. If you use Obeca to end your turn in response, the stack is cleared, and the ability never resolves. Hope this helps! 🙂
